I am truly invested! Lol This show just pulls you in and doesn't let you go! Also, I love the main characters~ Both of them just work so well together and the story and plot are so well done! I can't get enough of this show and it's for sure a must watch!! Each character has an important part to play and you can never just write someone off as simply a "side character" and forget about them. The show brings it around to where mostly every character brought into the show was brought in for a reason! Plus, the show forces you to play detective and try to link things together to get to the bottom of the murders! Still trying to figure out who done it! Lol They've given clues, but you never know for sure with this show! I just have to keep watching! 😁
At a first glance, the drama got a commendable cast bringing adequate performance to their character. The initial events and the 4 first episodes were eye catching, interesting and kept you looking forward to see where the story is going. However, the story just didn't quite measure up. It's like they've got all the right ingredients, but the recipe just doesn't come together. They very rarely went to court after that, it turned into mystery/investigation. They were also building a mystery around the male lead trying to insinuate something else about his character but that got boring really fast for how obvious and lazy their attempts were. Finally, the last 2 episodes and the climax were weak in general for a finale, nothing interesting or appealing came out of them. Don't expect much beyond the initial few episodes and the decent cast.
Korean Drama " May It Please The Court " is a law melodrama with strong characters.
And true, the characters, especially the female lead, were the highlight of the drama. Their chemistry was spot-on and enjoyable and it aided the progress of the story a lot. The female lead, moreover, was a strong attorney who had an interesting character and her performance was just right for her character, without overdoing her emotional scenes. The male lead, also, handled his character brilliantly. Their intereaction, in addition, was what makes the drama worth watching.
On the other hand, the main story was not as good. It was predictable most of the time, though there were some really dark moments. And yet, it needed a fresh twist to it.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Noh Chak-hee ( Jung Ryeo-won) was taken in as a child by the Chairman of a large law firm in which she now works and is the star lawyer with an amazing win rate. Just prior to becoming a partner in the company a scandal means she has to take time out and work as a public defender and she goes to work in the office of the kindly Jwa Si Baek (Lee Kyuhyung). They appear diametrically opposed but whilst working together their viewpoints become closer as they become aware of each others pasts and this is aided as they investigate a serial killer. The plot is very clever and deserves credit but this is definitely aided by superb acting from the entire cast which is outstanding. It does have sweet moments but please be aware this is not a romance but a serious drama with some violent scenes.
This Drama, shows the well know corruption of, well, most people in higher positions, like from police to judiciary and politicians, surprising the total of zero persons, but the acting isn't bad, more chemistry between the main characters wouldn't harm no one.
A sad history with a few Plotwist's in between, the secondary cast stood up to theirs roles and made the series interesting and watchable.
Kudos to The actors whom made the serial Killer, and the male lead, they were amazing, I saw them on a great drama "Prison Playbook", (which by the way, is a great show), and their acting skills are memorable and exquisite, this one wasn't an exception.
Overall the ending falls short and rushed, and the lack of romance made all, even more painful to watch,
But is a good show to kill some time.
