This sister show to "Jeopardy!" is a pale imitation, but it can be entertaining if you happen to like a particular celebrity contestant.
But the answers are easier than in regular "Jeopardy!". In fact, they are easier than the college and teen versions of the show.
The primary drawback is that the celebrity contestants, feeling self-conscious about their relative lack of knowledge, feel compelled to chat incessantly or make jokes throughout the game.
There is one thing I enjoy about this version: there is a Triple Jeopardy round with even higher valued squares, including more Daily Double squares.

With Jeopardy nearly finishing its 41st season, I'm gonna talk about the celebrity version of America's Favorite and Long-Running Quiz Show.
Before it became a regular primetime series, it would be an occasional special week-long event of the regular rotation of regular Jeopardy!, which started in 1992 until they were discontinued in 2015.
In 2022, 2 years after the late Alex Trebek passed away from cancer, ABC decided to cash into Jeopardy again after their short-lived Super Jeopardy tournament in the summer of 1990, bringing back Celebrity Jeopardy, but as a tournament event. Mayim Bialik, who was alternating with Ken Jennings as the host of regular Jeopardy, was the host for the 1st season before ultimately getting let go due to her connection with the writers and actors strikes, leading Jennings to replace Bialik starting with the 2nd season.
So if you like questions and answers and celebrities, then enjoy Celebrity Jeopardy!.

Nothing turns me off more than having a special Jeopardy where it's just celebrities jerking each other off answering questions about other celebrities.
So many categories are about which actor did this, starred in this show, or also does this. It's like the more these guys know each other the better they will do on the show.
The questions are also rather simple. I will say no more than 15% of the questions are actually stumpers. I don't feel engaged at all with the celebrities when I keep answering a long with them when most of the questions are basic knowledge or hard not to know clues.
Lastly, did they run out of celebrities because so many of these "celebrities" just have 1 Netflix show that no one has heard of them or the show. When I said the celebrities jerk each other off, they did this constantly with the after break interviews always asking about what tv show/movie they are working on now and who they get to work with. Really? Just one time talk about them outside of Hollywood. Nope, they won't do it.
Only reason I give it 2 stars because there were a few select individuals who do seem out of their league compared to their opposition.

I watch every episode of Jeopardy. I love that show! This celebrity version is not that show. This celebrity version is an insult to Jeopardy fans everywhere. The regular Jeopardy has 61 questions over a1/2 hour. The celeb version has 3 rounds with a total of 91 questions over 1 hour. The questions are dumbed down, even in the third round. In the second episode the celebs made stupid comments between every question/answer. They were attempting to be funny. They were not. This show has no respect for the game. Mayim acts like she is hosting a party game in her living room. Of the first 6 celebs, only two could compete on the celebrity episodes that were hosted by Alex Trebek. This trash would not be on television if Alex were still with us. No season 2.
I was really looking forward to this program. First episode was bad and the second even worse. Other than episode one's Simu Liu, everyone else can't really be called celebrities. Then, they're stupid as hell. Second episode I knew every single answer and they just stood there with blank looks on their faces. Plus, all the questions were extremely soft balls and yet they didn't answer or were wrong. They act like they're drunk and treat the program like an improv comedy show. I couldn't cancel it off my DVR recording list fast enough. Couldn't take another minute! What a dumpster fire of a miss!
