Resumen
Reviewers say 'Carry-On' is often likened to 'Die Hard' for its Christmas setting and action-packed plot. The film explores themes of tension, moral dilemmas, and high-stakes scenarios in an airport. Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman receive praise for their performances and chemistry. However, some critics note plot holes, unrealistic elements, and a lack of originality, arguing the film relies on familiar tropes. Despite these issues, many find 'Carry-On' to be an entertaining, fun action thriller.

This movie has a great premise, great actors, great characters. Unfortunately, the longer the movie goes on, the more frustrating it gets. The characters continue to make decisions that make ZERO sense. The plot also falls apart quickly everything is so quickly able to be solved if the characters used any common sense.
I figured it would be an mindless action thriller. It is an action thriller, but it's hard to be mindless with how obvious the characters are making bad decision after bad decision. Too many to be even remotely believable.
Again, all the actors did a great job with their characters, there are just so many obvious flaws in the story and plot that the movie became frustrating as it end on.

Okay, so it kept me entertained enough to watch it until the end, however, the ending was very predictable and no twist/shock to make it more interesting. Also, there are some moments where you need to suspend belief as otherwise, you'll be rolling your eyes.
Not sure about the casting for the 'bad guy'- having watched Jason Bateman in other roles, it just didn't sit right with me and the sniper, well, preposterous!
The film is a cross between Die Hard and Phone Booth but doesn't quite pull it off, although, if you haven't nothing else to watch, it's not a bad choice to while away a few hours.

It wasn't the absolute best movie I've ever seen, but it had some really good moments and solid acting. I enjoyed the movie and it left me wanting more.
I've seen comparisons to Diehard, and while this is no die hard, it is certainly a watchable movie.
The main character is likable and you get drawn into his story. While it is not a complex movie and is easy to follow, sometimes you just want escapism. I would like to see a follow up with the same main characters.
I think seeing the main character carrying out his duties as a police officer with the young family would make a really good movie.

I was about to put this in the 5-star or possible 6-star category if you turned your brain off. But then it happened.
This is LAX, one of the busiest airports in the world. This is Christmas Eve, one of the busiest travel days in the world. Why is this important?
This entire movie is based upon ex machina. There are about 20+ situations that depends on perfect coincidence to make this movie works.
Empty bathrooms-check Empty baggage claims-check Empty parking lot-check No security at TSA checkpoint-check TSA agents leaving their posts and no one notices.
No 911 calls, or someone talking to a police-check. Bad guys finding their targets in LAX just by coincidence(9 times).
And biggest grievance. How the solution was done.
This movie is a sad indication that A. I. wrote this story. It is just painful.

This movie is clearly riding the tail coats of the Die Hard franchise. Unfortunately, it is hampered by very lazy, unimaginative and unrealistic writing. The characters are taking one stupid decision after another to keep the plot going. The main character undergoes a transformation in two hours that is beyond believable, and doesn't make any sense. Jason Bateman as usual is doing a very decent job, but unfortunately that cannot save the movie. Overall, quite the disappointment.
This is becoming quite a common problem with Netflix movies: big budgets, some very decent actors, mediocre CGI, and absolutely terrible writing.

¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesAfter reading the script, Jason Bateman signed on immediately, relishing the chance to play an intelligent, articulate villain.
- PifiasThere is no way to open the door of a 737 cargo hold from the inside.
- Créditos adicionalesWhen the end credits start, images of scanned bags show on the screen. The items in the bag are representative of the crew being credited: a typewriter for the writer, a countdown timer for the producer, a final script (and wine) and then money for the executive producers, a camera for the DP, drawing and drafting tools for the production designer, an editing computer console for the editors, a sewing machine and rolls of thread for the costume designer, a CPU fan bank for the visual effects supervisor, a DJ turn table and CDs for the music composer, headphones for the music supervisor, and plastic figurines in boxes for the casting director. Additionally, there are items representative of each character for the actors' credits as well.
