I mean the title made it possible - and the short movie overall of course. So no pun intended here once more. That all said, if you like horror (short) movies this will float your boat. Amanda Seyfried - who is amazingly beautiful, but does not really show that here - this is about a different side of her.

Then you also have the other character - whom you may know from a tv show (I do) ... he is having some issues. He needs a job, but maybe a few other things. So he offers his services at the farm Amandas character is at ... we do not get much of a backstory ... but there is a feeling that something is off ... and also we know this is a horror themed short ... so there is that.

Phenomenal ending - tying everything up in the end. This will not leave you bare boned ... but the twist is great ...

'Skin & Bone (2022)' is a slow-burning short film about an enigmatic man who goes to work on a reclusive woman's farm after deciding it's better to be alone. The piece has a strong sense of earthy atmosphere to it, and its horror is very subdued. Its concept is purposefully elusive, with an ambiguous undercurrent that keeps you guessing as to where it's going to go. There's a key moment early on that all but reveals the short's final hand if you're paying attention, but it works as a nice bit of foreshadowing rather than an overtly blunt blunder. The acting is understated yet effective, the editing is assured and the cinematography is - for lack of a better term - professional. The narrative is a bit too oblique to be massively compelling, but it works well enough for what it is and is suitably mysterious. It's a well-made effort that favours its vibe over its story and remains engaging for its majority.

The atmosphere represents just the fundamental virtue . The cinematography becomes source of encounter with old myths and the dialogue sustains the tension in admirable manner.

Old fairy tales crumbs, nice acting and inspired way to guide the viewer in circle of misteries and apparences. Knowing some about cultural references can be fair key to discover the richness of story and the wise accents of it.
