Writers Christian Sellers and Gary Smart had written the book 'The Complete History of the Return of the Living Dead', which was released in 2011 and covered the entire franchise.
Christian Sellers and Gary Smart also wrote the two featurettes included on the DVD, They Won't Stay Dead: A Look at Return of the Living Dead Part II and Love Beyond the Grave: A Look at Return of the Living Dead III, although no writers were listed in the credits.
Producer Thommy Hutson had previously worked on the A Nightmare on Elm Street documentary Pesadilla en Elm Street: Desde dentro (2010), as had director Bill Philputt (who had been credited as associate producer), composer and production supervisor Lito Velasco, composer Sean Schafer Hennessy, and editor Michael Benni Pierce. Hutson also worked on the Friday the 13th documentary His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2009).
