The Day The Music Died is a post-modern Buddy Holly-inspired surrealist bio-pic. Using A fictional version of Buddy Holly set in modern day, The Day the Music Died is a fictional film that illustrates a version of Buddy Holly's life of what it might look like if he were around today. You could say this film is a form of fan fiction, but in the most sophisticated sense. Playfully eccentric, The Day the Music Died feels like a modern-day fable that leaves you wanting more. I saw this film years back and fell in love with it and have been waiting for it to be turned into a feature ever since. Would love to see this devoloped for the big screen!

"Just excellent, excellent, excellent. This was a case of wonderful direction by this young director and I know there's a burning-bright star in Guy Kent's future. Stellar performance. Bravissimo.

The storyline itself was interesting and innovative and I enjoyed seeing Buddy in a whole new light. I should also mention that the rest of the cast was very dependable and an interesting bunch of characters that gave a good backdrop to the more serious Holly. I hope others get to see this, and I look forward to seeing what's next for this bunch.

And lastly, it's good to see an old-fashioned Hollywood story shot IN Hollywood."
