John Fricke: [First lines] I don't think there's any question that Return To Oz has fans. But it's not a movie that the public even remembers exists for the most part. I've been asked countless times over the past decade or so "Why doesn't anyone ever make a big Wizard of Oz movie?" And I'll say: "Well, Disney tried in 1985." "Oh yeah..." "Oh... yeah." "Oh yeah." But there's no immediate recognition, there's no joy. The people who saw it just kind of put it out of their minds. Except for the people to whom it spoke and... I don't think there's any entertainment that doesn't speak to somebody.
- Créditos adicionalesThe end credits appear over a sketch drawing of Tik Tok and the Wheeler.
- Versiones alternativasAaron Pacentine, executive consultant on the film, recorded an interview but due to technical problems, the footage was not usable. Later, after the film had already been released, 'Gabe Rodriguez' found a way to make the footage work and then edited a new version with Pacentine's interview inserted throughout the film. However, Rodriguez only considers this second version to be a favor to Pacentine; the original released version is the true director's cut.
