Pokémon Contest! Akebi Tournament!!

This is another pokemon contest episode with Dawn and it features her rival, Ursula. I just find it funny that she has that name considering that Ursula is also the name of a character on "Dinosaur King" that Jessie's voice actor played and they have basically the same personality. Seriously, there was nothing different between them. I like how Ursula is depicted as a rival but still a unique character. They don't just make her a blatantly abusive trainer like Paul. She also doesn't seem to be in the same league as Gary or dare I say Harley.

I loved seeing Jessie participate in the contest as Jessalina again. It does kind of make you wonder why she doesn't just try to steal any of the pokemon. I guess this is just a situation where she doesn't want to cause any trouble and wants to get popular as a legitimate pokemon trainer. It's always nice to see Team Rocket work like that. She really has improved with showing off her pokemon. Although once again, it does make you wonder why she doesn't just show off a talking Meowth. ***1/2
