This movie hit right in the middle for me. It was good, but not that memorial for me. I did enjoy seeing the inside of the ice hotel which I found out is a very real place and dream of staying there some day! The ice slide was a fun scene. What the main female character was "struggling" with didn't seem like it should've been a big deal to carry around for so long and hold her back. So that seemed a little strange. But overall, glad I watched.
Jocelyn Hudon is one of the new wave of Hallmark stars coming along in the footsteps of some who have left for GAC Family in recent times or else are losing their fight with Father Time - and who isn't! She is very bubbly and attractive, and I've enjoyed each of her Hallmark productions to this point, especially Love in the Maldives. Her star is definitely on the rise.
Steve Lund is one of the more reliable Hallmark actors, and displays good chemistry with Hudon in another story set inside Quebec's impressive Ice Hotel. What an interesting place that would be to spend a night!
As some previous reviewers have pointed out, this is a very formulaic movie, and you can pretty much figure out what's going to happen well ahead of time. But the chemistry between the leads and the unique setting - admittedly less unique if you've already watched the first Winter Castle movie - makes it a decent watch.

This is a predictable story with very little tension. There isn't a lot of plot but the writers and director do the one thing I frequently complain some movies don't do enough- they throw the leads together almost every possible chance.
Jocelyn Hudon is a young lead where many of the Hallmark leading ladies are nearing or past 40. There's nothing wrong with that except it limits the studio when trying to make stories about younger couples. Hudon has been doing work for Hallmark for several years now, although not as much as I would like to see lately, although perhaps Covid has something to do with that. Hudon is just right for this role and she has great chemistry with Steve Lund. Hudon does a good job dealing with the back-and-forth in her confidence and that is one thing the script does well.
I said predictable, and it is for broad strokes, but I was a little surprised at how one character acted toward the end.

I really like the actors in many of their other performances and while this was not bad it was just a little slow- the actors showed chemistry which matters but I always was expecting it to move- Emile ullerup made a very similar movie at the famed ice castle which is a little better; I would say I would eat hit again but not for at least 6 months- it's a shame because really liked from friend to fiancé and have watched that at least 4 times- at such a great place make a great story and yes I k ow hallmark movies are similar- don't rush them just make it move especially when you have quality leads.
Lovely location. Sweet story. Well cast. Yes it is predictable but warm and cozy and comfortable.

On the actual tour, Phoebe does lead the group, but Hannah and Ben take the position right behind Phoebe, leaving no safety person at the rear, which is what Hannah and Ben were supposed to be.
