If you're looking for a light C-drama with a balanced element of surprise and a well-written plot, you definitely must check this out. This story goes against the common conflicts of the average romance drama and sets out a new standard to repetitive modern love stories- would never fail you to want for more. The cast suited their individual roles very well and the chemistry between the actors were undeniable. It also tells lessons you'd probably wish to hear at certain points of your life. Honestly impressed at how such drama was shot during the pandemic. Moreover, the ending was satisfying! Though I would definitely love it to have a second season.

A very well written and balanced plot along with a great chemistry among the actors.
Great Plot.
It showed a very pure soft yet lovable side of romance which is rare to see among the fast paced romantic dramas.
This drama easily portrayed a what a great sense of duty balanced with love life , should look like, which is very inspiring to watch.
The whole cast was absolutely Perfect.
Though the 40 episodes may scare some, it is actually a wonderfully well executed, written drama with each episode bringing something new. Unlike the other dramas.
All in all a Hidden Gem and A MUST WATCH.

This was a really sweet show. It was like Saved by the Bell meets Grey's Anatomy. Lot of action and character driven drama. It was really good and moved at a nice pace with the storyline. The chemistry between Mi Ka and Xing Kelei sold the story. I wish we could have seen more romantic interactions but their banter was hilarious. They were a perfect couple. The secondary couple with Shu Wenbo and Xia was very frustrating but thoroughly enjoyed the love triangle. I recommend.
...and an incredible cast of top notch actors.
Mi Ka is a resident doctor working at Renxin Hospital, she's not the top of her class, but her dedication to her patients and cheerful nature makes her a favorite amongst staff and patients alike. Her relentless drive to learn and be the best surgeon possible to help people, catches the eye of the chief neurosurgeon, who takes her under his wings.
Xing Kelei is the leader of the elite Tiger Assault SWAT team. Handsome, cool and collect, he meets Mi Ka when he trains the staff at Renxin Hospital on emergency rescue procedures.
Unbeknownst to Mi Ka, they had meet years earlier during a dangerous incident, but Xing Kelei remembers the brave young lady he met that day, and falls for her when they meet again for the second time.
It's refreshing to watch a love story without the typical angst, misunderstandings, twists and turns used by other dramas to move the plot along.
The casting is perfect, the chemistry between Sandra Ma and Bai Jing-Ting is amazing to watch. Their genuine liking for each other shows in all the scenes, especially the ones which they ad lib. The interactions between the supporting cast is also great too, and the various subplots work nicely to intertwine with the primary story.
The drama is not just worth a watch but a re-watch.
Loved it, but why not a 10/10? The over abundance of in your face product placement really takes away from the production quality. Although you quickly forget as you get into the series, the styling/look of Mi Ka brings to mind Song Hye-Kyo's character from 2016 Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun", although it has no relation -- "You Are My Hero" is based on a novel written by Mu Qing Yu.
Tip: Avoid the temptation of watching the closing credits, I found that it gave too much away to the story.

I really like the story and its execution. The romance between the fl and mL is believable and not childish. There's 2 other sideline romances too. The one involving the ML's sister and a doctor is interesting but the one that involves the Fl's friend and a special force is childish and rather annoying. It's not just romance but a lot of interesting medical cases and police cases that are portrayed in this series that keeps the series captivating and justifies the number of episodes there are here. I like it that both Amal & FL trust and support each other and converse with each other softly and firmly. No childish tantrum. This series has very little stress. Any misunderstandings are quickly and firmly resolved. Highly recommended watch.
