A Picture Perfect Wedding

I'm not really big on weddings / wedding movies, but this one had a few good twists. Despite the extra hurdles of the pandemic, this show is beautifully produced in all aspects. No matter what the setbacks, amazing things can always happen, so hang on in there. If you like to watch at the portrayed time of year, this story is set around August 12, as the Perseid Meteor Shower briefly features. This movie could have been a fun, cute film to watch. It ended up being painful to watch. The actors were stiff, and no one ever touched each other except the main couple at the end. Even the wedding couple never touched each other until they did a photo of them holding hands once but even after that they never touched.

The so-called villain, The wedding planner, seem to soften up a little bit but you really didn't care if she got nice or not. The movie was boring by the time she did and as of here you didn't really care.

The only beautiful part of the movie was the house where they filmed the wedding. The photography and gardens were beautiful.

This film came on directly after a government announcement about the Covid level 4 lockdowns and yet somehow even after that it was still the worst thing I saw all day.

The movie had the ingredients to create a good drama: a girl worrying about her career, a nasty would-be-sponsor, a love rival, a father-son incomprehension, etc.... Unfortunately, the script wanders around the issues, the characters are inconsistent and all dissolves into an end where meek people blend in a nirvana of senses. What could have been stimulating delivers sleep.

I actually fell asleep watching it the 1 st time and had to rerun it to watch. I felt the writer went down a list of necessary plot lines for writing romance movies and checked them off as he/she wrote. Nothing was remotely romantic nor enjoyable to watch, especially the lack of chemistry between the two leads. For me, the male lead came across as immature and his facial contortions during some scenes overpowered the dialogue. This really could have been an enjoyable movie with an interesting premise with a more experienced writer, director & cast. Most of this one was just silly. I did enjoy the location & house where filmed .
