Whoa, this is trashily-great!
The kills are fun and brutal - If look unrealistic. The killer drone's CGI are awful but are a nice touch of creativeness to otherwise derivative movie. Also what a great and twisted killer motive. And the killer serves, just saying.
Overall, fun time!
No, this is absolutely not Texas Chain Saw Massacre great, but it is good for killing time - And it's absolutely rewatchable.

Well, add one part cheerleader(s), one part 'B' movie budget/actors/story, and then add a few sprinkles of non-plot driven "boob shots", and voila... Cheerleader Massacre 2!
I have turned off many a poor movie within the first ten minutes. I had expected to add this to the list of "not gonna watch it". Well, I did finish it. There were many parts that still make me laugh. In one scene, I found myself actually anticipating the death of a cheerleader. As I waited for the event...and waited...and waited... well, you will have to see it for yourself.
Since watching Massacre 2, I finally watched Massacre 1. It is very rare to find the second movie to be more engrossing than the first. Massacre 2 is a rare example of the second surpassing the first.

Cheerleaders in a school bus are attacked in the middle of the desert and killed.
Later we meet some more cheerleaders as they make their way to some camp competition between two teams. Once most of them arrive we meet some creepy guy organizing it all, and his creepier grounds keeper. There's a security guy and among the girls some seem to be in charge. There also happens to be TV news crew around the area and the ambitious reporter aims to cover to competition seeking some drama to make a name for herself. And little by little girls start getting killed and so does a news crew intern. Of course there is no cellphone signal and the organizer tries to keep things going and avoid any scandal or trouble. When things get out of control they finally call the police.
We learn that one of the cheerleaders is there for a scholarship. Her mom died and her dad doesn't have enough money to send her to college. Her friend is along for the ride. She's bright, not a cheerleader and the daughter of a CEO of a government contractor that builds some cutting edge weapons. Some of those were actually stolen recently.
Cheerleader Massacre 2 is exactly what you expect it to be. A B-movie about pretty girls, pretty girls getting naked, pretty girls getting killed. It's actually more like a C+ movie as the budget is rather low. If you're expecting 20 million dollar A list actors, 200 million dollar CGI effects, and award winning performances, why are you? But this movie sure delivers when it comes to pretty girls. The cast is gorgeous. Performances are pretty good, actually better than expected for the most part. Except for one girl whom they gave an Australian accent in post-production for no good reason. Sure, there could have been more character development as we really learn only about two of the girls. The special effects are pretty good and most death scenes are cool too. There are some that happen off-camera or with the camera moving away from some reason. The lack of full frontal nudity is annoying, especially since neither the girls, nor the director, nor the camera guy were shy. But somehow the editor cut things out apparently. For a movie like this, I see no point in that. It doesn't win any fans and just annoys those who enjoy the movie.
Cheerleader Massacre 2 is a welcome return to horror B-movies of the 80s and 90s with lots of nudity and lots of blood.

I like bad T&A slasher movies, they can be great fun (intentionally and otherwise), but Cheerleader Massacre 2 is beyond bad. It's a really, really bad movie with a split personality that alternates between a pseudo-slasher film told by someone who apparently has never experienced anything related to the horror genre and a Playboy style nudie extravaganza (trust me, while a lovely distraction, it doesn't help). Filled with bad CGI, terrible dialogue, zero camp value and a complete lack of purpose. It's ONLY virtue is that it is marginally better than the first Cheerleader Massacre and that is not really saying much.
This movie definitely doesn't take itself seriously, so if you're looking for something TRASHY to have fun, there you have it.
