Sharad Kelkar dubbed for Prabhas in the Hindi version. He previously voiced for his role of Baahubali in the eponymous film franchise.
Director Om Raut, at the trailer launch of Adipurush dedicated the film to the bards and folk-storytellers, and stage artists who have disseminated the pastimes of Lord Ram through years in form of street performances and theatre.
Kriti Sanon, who plays Janaki in the film described the experience of working in the film as "exhilarating" and felt that it was her fortune that unlike many actors, she got to portray Ma Sita on screen. She added that rarely do film actresses get an opportunity to play such a role as Janaki. At the trailer launch, she got emotional and said, "Maine iss film ko apna 200% diya hai, baaki woh Bhagwan hain, hum insaan hain, bhool-chuk ho gayi hogi toh maaf kariyega" (I have given this film my 200%, rest, [Lord Ram and Ma Sita] are God, and we are mere humans. Please forgive me if I've committed some errors in my potrayal)
Film had a dialog referring Sita (Janaki) as Bharat Ki Beti. The Nepal government objected to this stating that they would not allow the release of film in their country if the dialog isn't changed. As Sita was born in present day Nepal. This dialog was later edited from the film.
Prior to its release, the film's makers announced that every theatre screening the film will have one seat reserved exclusively for Lord Hanuman. This led to rumors that the seats next to that one seat will have exorbitant prices. The makers quashed the rumors with an official confirmation that there won't be any such rate differences and further requested one and all not to fall for such false information.
