This movie started out fine and had some good ideas sprinkled throughout. However, it really takes too long for the main storyline to kick in. Then, it just becomes a repetitive loop of stops and starts, cycling through the same basic situation. Even though they had written some pretty outrageous scenarios, the best moments of the movie had no impact because nothing was properly built up. The filmmakers really needed to have few more rewrites done before shooting started. So instead of a cult classic full of iconic scenes, we get a below average satire that becomes a chore to sit through. I really wanted to like it, but you can't just come up with a few good parts, rush to pad out the rest of the story, and then expect people to care.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Krazy House, but since it starred Nick Frost, I was already sold on watching it. It took me a while to understand what was going on, but the movie presents a sitcom-style family with Nick Frost playing the dad, a religious homemaker. At some point, a group of Russian workers arrives, and things quickly start to spiral out of control.
While this movie has a vastly different plot and tone, the results reminded me of this year's Black Cab: an intriguing premise that ultimately fails to impress, with Nick Frost being the main reason to watch. However, I preferred Krazy House slightly more because it fully embraced its absurdity and seemed to have more fun with it.
Unfortunately, the movie never really captured my attention. With all the absurdity and chaos happening, I often felt overstimulated. Nothing felt impactful, which made it hard to connect with the characters, and as a result, I didn't care much about where the narrative was heading.
The comedy aspects didn't work too well for me, and the film was rarely funny. On the other hand, the gore was well-executed, and there's plenty of action to ensure you won't get bored. The acting was decent but occasionally subpar; however, each actor still managed to portray their character in a way that kept the scenario functional.
Overall, Krazy House is a wild (or "krazy") movie with a fun premise and some clever ideas, but the execution fell short for me. [4,8/10]

Been looking forward to this film for a while now. Read a few negative reviews but I always make my own mind up so gave it a watch.
Although I didn't hate the film. It was fun and daft.
The only major problem I personally had was that it just wasn't fast flowing enough. It kept dragging. Ever shot was 3 seconds longer than it needed to be. So it got rather boring rather quickly.
Maybe a different editor could've fixed that problem. Nick frost was OK considering he didn't have much to work with. Alicia Silverstone was her usual self whining and crying etc. Although there was one scene she was in at the start that I had to keep rewinding as it was hilarious (Kitchen worktop).
So I couldn't say it was bad or offensive unless you're easier offended of course... I just wish it had a dirrerent editor who could have made it flow more easily and quickly...

When i first started watching it i was a little confused because of that "cheap" picture quality.
I thought ok, this is a weird attempt to make a sitcom movie. But step by step the occasions kinda got weirder and weirder in a positive way.
The transfer from sitcom to dark snook in and it got just krazy.
I mean, sure its no masterpiece, but its lovley how that "perfect" family with all that canned laughter turns to absurd dark circumstances....
i would rate it maybe a 6.5 so i went with 7 because i think it deserves little recognition.
Its no "hot fuzz", "gods end" or "shaun of the dead", but definitely worth watching.

Most certainly the worst movie I've seen in decades ; very boring , trying to bring across a very fuzzy blasphemic narrative without making any kind of point ... useless insults , useless violence and an endless stream of humiliating dialogues again without making any point ... definitely not worth a second of anybody's time. Probably the only reason why this movie has been made , is to deliberately insult certain religious groups and to generate unnecessary tensions and controversy surrounding this worthless movie which is why some people are going to see it and walk out of the cinema like 90 % of the people did who saw the movie with me today ...
