Kicking off another day on the job, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson reported for duty on the set of “Fifty Shades of Grey” in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday (December 19).

The “Shadows in the Sun” hunk and the “Beastly” babe filmed a scene in which Christian Grey saves Anastasia Steele from a bicycle accident as they meet for the first time.

As previously reported by the GossipCenter, Dornan and his wife Amelia welcomed a baby girl back in November, so he’s been doing double duty as a dad and a movie star.

British Actress Jean Simmons passed away on Friday evening at her home in Santa Monica, CA from lung cancer. She was 80 (Jan. 31, 1929- Jan. 22, 2010). While her definitive acting roles are in Hamlet (Ophelia), Elmer Gantry (Sister Sharon Falconer), and Guys And Dolls (Sister Sarah Brown), my personal favorites were her parts in Hollywood’s Swords and Sandals epics of old.

Forever the working actress, Miss Simmons provided the voices in such animated films as Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (Council Member), Hayao Miyazakis’ Howl’S Moving Castle (Grandma Sophie), and 2005’s Thru The Moebius Strip (Shepway). She saw two Academy Award nominations in Lead and Supporting, awarded 2 Golden Globes, and won an Emmy for her portrayal of stoic matriarch Fiona ‘Fee’ Cleary, in The Thorn Birds. In 2003, Miss Simmons received the OBE (Order of the British Empire) for her services to drama.

Paris -- The 19th Dinard Festival of British Film will open with the 1999 movie "My Life So Far," as part of a tribute to director Hugh Hudson.

Hudson is due in the Brittany beach resort to introduce a retrospective of his films including the multiple Oscar-winning Olympic tale "Chariots of Fire" and the Tarzan adaptation "Greystoke." There also will be a retrospective on the films based on Daphne Du Maurier's work, including Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca" and "The Birds" and Nicolas Roeg's "Don't Look Now."

Six independent British films will compete for Dinard's Golden Hitchcock Trophy. The Anglo-French jury this year is presided over by Gallic actor Lambert Wilson.

Other French premiere screenings scheduled include "The Duchess," directed by Saul Dibb and starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes; Steve McQueen's hard-hitting Bobby Sands prison drama, "Hunger"; and Terence Davies' poetic ode to Liverpool, "Of Time and the City.
