Envidia sana

It was almost painful to watch how jealous Karina became of her best friends' success. I just wanted to slap her for being so unsupportive and self-centered. But needless to say, people get jealous and try to push their friends down in life if they are too successful. This movie is a good reminder to be an empathetic and supportive friend, but also to find out what YOU personally are good at and to enjoy doing it as best you can. Sometimes there are no do-overs in friendships if jealousy becomes so bad that it destroys the unity. I would say this should be called An Unfriendly Tale.

Excellent character development and setting.

I was a little apprehensive before I started to watch this movie. The percentage of viewers who liked this movie is relatively low.

However, I was pleasantly surprised that the characters are very interesting to watch how they evolve from the beginning to the end.

Casting is very good.

To watch a friend becoming famous while themselves tried and failed is a challenge. Each character reacts in a different way.

This is a comedy so the reactions are caricatural, exaggerated ! . Love how her friends eventually find their own ways to grow by finding their own passions.

Love the filming locations around the city, giving it a distinct European atmosphere.

It is a good and interesting topic but characters are way exaggerated.

I watched this movie last night (before Wimbledon G final) I had taped it because it featured V Cassel. It was interesting to see him in a different role.

I thoroughly enjoyed this bitter sweet film. And I quite understand why it may not be so popular. Many of us find it difficult to appreciate close friends success. "Why not me?" This essentially the story of this movie, it is simple and to the point. But it is also good fun and entertaining. I can see some people find the characters are exagering (pardon my French! ) But for me it was fun.

I don't rate but I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't get easily self centred and can watch a movie on its own merits.
