I will be honest, I saw the trailer for this on Netflix and added it to my list because it looked interesting and goofy enough to waste at least 15 minutes on an episode, without giving it much thought. It stayed in my list for a couple of months until I finally got around to it. And I'm really happy I did.
At first i went into it more as background noise, it wouldn't be the first show that i had in the background, just so the room isn't silent while I'm doing something else. Initially had it set on english, so I didn't have to pay much attention to the screen, while still hearing what's going on. But in the middle of the 3rd episode I realised that I was actually paying more attention to the show than I initially wanted to, and the story started to suck me in.
The characters show up one by one, not crowding the episode, and they each get an explanation on who they are and why they do what they do but not necessarily from the start (you will get some heartwarming backstory on a few of the characters in the OVAs and episodes in season 2). The show is mainly a comical one, with splapstick gags employed throughout each episode, but with a dramatic tone that makes itself felt especially in the backstory episodes or in the main storyline.
Overall, the show is great, with very good character building, even if the style of animation might be off-putting for some.

Full of imagination, comedy, very good action scenes, dramatic and charm...
It's one of the best anime of Netflix and the world.
It's a very rare anime on this "anime era" that has a lot of garbage and ridiculous animes.
Scissor seven (killer seven), little witch academia, and Lewis are the best animes from Netflix until now.

It's quirky but well done. Good animation style, interesting writing, decent directing. Overall it's a good show worth watching. Good change of pace from typical anime which is badly needed.

I absolutely adored this series. I was blown away by hand drawn animations in this day and age. The characters were so movable and had so much life. The team even added a swaggle in one episode to brag about their animating skills. It's also stylistic so it'll age very well.
On top of that, the humor was original. It also had its serious moments, which were dramatic as well. The extremities of the situation and the centering of the scenes really brought out how important some parts were.
I honestly did not expect to see a work of art like this in the form of an adult animation. It's so unique!

I've been watching since season 1 and i can say that after watching over 150+ top rated animes this beautiful chinese anime stole my heart. Its a total masterpiece, from a beautifully written story to Its heartwarming soundtrack and very unique perfect art style. This anime made me cry multiple times because of its wonderful writting and perfectly synced soundtrack. The characters also grows into you and they become a part of you. This anime is truly a hidden gem and I really am surprised how many people doesnt even know about it. Many people may not want to watch it because of the stereotypes that chinese animes are always bad, but this anime really proved it wrong. I really hope to see more people watching this anime in the future and if the person reading this hasnt watched it yet. Watch it. You wont regret it. The only downside to this anime is that you'll have a hard time finding an anime that would cause the same emotions and feelings felt while watching this anime. Really big thanks to the people working on this anime, I love you all.

The Story is somtimes very dark but only do make it hilarious in the next 2 minutes. I laughed very much one of the best Netflix Original Anime ever made and I hope a third Season will come

It starts out as mostly a comedy, about a goofy, clumsy hairdresser who wishes he was a lihai kungfu assassin. His sidekicks are funny. His love interest is a secretive and powerful assassin herself. The plot is witty and unique.
Some episodes are pure drama. Some are mostly kungfu action, albeit lighthearted. Some are a bit artistic and abstract. Most are comedy.
It continues that way for two seasons. But then, in the third season, it starts to drift more into the kungfu action. Drama remains here and there. Comedy starts becoming rarer and rarer.
And by the fourth season, it feels like a completely different show. Episodes 1 and 2, for example, are each a single kungfu battle, both over-the-top yet taking itself seriously. It feels like a group of teenage animators took control and are just trying to one-up each other with 'here comes a really unstoppable ability' after another after another after another.
And where's Ronnie in all that?! :(
If it ever gets back to its season 1-2 roots, it'll be a must-see again!

The growth... Phenomenal! The humor.... Stellar! The art... INCOMPARABLE! this was and is the best Chinese cartoon I have ever seen in my entire life. Probably one of the best cartoons in general honestly. I will watch it probably 2 more times until the next season comes out. I was LITERALLY gasping and laughing out loud and I could not stop myself. Please WATCH IT FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

An anime with commonplace characterization and background settings stands out from the others for being lifelike in terms of plot. It combines a thrilling plot with the everyday life of the protagonists, creating a strong and captivating sense of contrast and conflict. Heavily influenced by Stephen Chow's comedic style, the show is vaguely reminiscent of the martial arts works of Jin Yong and Gu Long. The producers tend to create an interpretation of "chivalry in modern society".

Full of colours and great animation!
This my first Chinese Anime and I'm not disappointed. The show is light hearted and funny but at the same time action packed. The fight scenes are made exciting with the colourful and vibrant animation. And when the storyline becomes serious you can still bare to watch it without feeling like the whole idea has changed. The plot and characters are unique and I'd suggest you watch it in mandarin.

This is the best Anime in my opinion. Even though i'm a massive weeb, i can't get into Anime. I Always feel like the Art and Style of the Manga ist better. Not in this Case. Goddamn, i love the artstyle. And the Humor. And the Characters. Check it Out.

Really wanted to get my opinion out there since MAL doesn't have this show up as a review option on their site.
First off, let me just say that scissor seven has officially solidified itself as my favorite slice of life anime at the moment, and completely exceeded my initial expectations going into the show.
The pacing is amazing for a 13 min. show, and the comedic timing just splendid. It packs a colorful plot line each and every episode with such tight time constraints.
The animation is a work of passion and the art-style distinct and works really well with the overall tone and feel of the story. It carves out its own identity while also paying homage to its Japanese predecessor (Jojo's reference everywhere).
The story, while not terrible , isn't exactly the most ground breaking of plot lines. It's pretty straightforward : misadventures of an amnesiac assassin and his sunglasses totting blue chicken side-kick. But what's amazing is how the show doesn't take itself too seriously. Because of the flexible , laid back nature of the show, it allows itself to dive into an almost innumerable array of backdrops and truly makes for a unique, almost anthology- like, experience each and every episode.
Overall, if you want a truly unique viewing experience and love to be surprised, treat yourself to some plain old slapstick comedy that is scissor seven.
Ps. If you're a non- Chinese speaking viewer, switch it to English dub. Without a doubt one of the best decisions of my life. :) ciao

I enjoy Anime and animated series/movies - when they are good. Delightedly, this is one of them.
The premise is interesting, the characters are nicely defined and ultimately very fascinating, and the story quite gripping and fresh.
The music used is also quite incredible and really helps to draw you into the world.

This is not bad at all if you are ok with the Chinese VAs and traditional animation. Stylish action scenes, good character development and nice mixture of comedy. Definitely recommended.

Japanese Anime is obviously extremely popular but China has officially made my favorite show!! This is an absolute gem, the phenomenal storyline takes some time to get going but eventually becomes extremely gripping. The music in this show is soo good and the comedy is well thought out and even made me literally LOL at times, awesome job China this is just an overall winner of a show.

Been looking for a new cartoon to watch late night now that I've binged my way through almost every subscription I own, and came across Scissors Seven. Started watching the English dub, not expecting too much, and was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought I was just watching a stereotypical teenage-edgy but fun for all cartoon, but it's so. much. more! Almost Speed Racer meets Shin Chan meets Kill La Kill as assassin's. Got some definite gut laughs out of me. The animation style is classic. Together with the storyline, fight scenes, and deadpan reckless jokes, Scissors Seven made for a fantastic watch! Would highly recommend for adult animation and anime lovers.
