Summary says it all. We wanted to rent a good movie DVD that was about horses for a child and three horse loving adults to watch. It was possibly the worst written, produced and acted movie any of us had ever seen. The bad guys, including Robert Wagner acted their worst. The Wild Black Stallion horse was dark brown and very tame. We laughed all the way through it which made it possible to watch it. I wish it rated a good review but it was so corny we didn't need popcorn. We were expecting something like the Mikey Rooney movie "The Black Stallion" but got a "Mickey Mouse" movie instead. Can't say enough good about the movie "Secretariat" and have urged many friends to rent it.
The Wild Stallion, starring Miranda Cosgrove of iCarly fame and Robert Wagner of Hoot fame, is Brokeback Mountain meets Mr. Hands. The cinematography, what they did, great. The hats are funny, but also what you would expect because they are normal cowboy hats. Courtney Cox is amazing and very handsome and strong. Make sure you bring tissues, though, especially if you're congested. The writing is excellent, especially the dialogue between horses, which includes perfect comedic timed nickering and whinnying. By the end of the film, you'll be both nickering and crying and you might even ruin your pants.
Pretty much everyone else has already said it all. The acting was downright embarrassing. The adults were the worst, especially the bad guys. Even Connie Sellica was awful. The kids were much better actors than the adults.
The "black" Stallion is really brown. That's actually an insult to the viewer. Just how stupid do the producers think we are, that we're going to buy in that the horse is really black? Were you really so hard up you couldn't find a black horse anywhere to use for the film? Couldn't you have least used dye, or doctored up the film to make the horse look black? I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't even a stallion, or even a male horse.
I still have this on, but am only paying half attention to it now. I hate stopping a show before seeing it through to the end. That's why I'm warning future viewers to not even bother starting the movie at all.

I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. I wasn't expecting much after reading some of the reviews, and I understand some of the negativity. The bad guys were a bit of a clown act, but I wasn't watching the movie for them. No, the Wild Stallion probably wasn't totally black but I don't really care. And yes the first part of the movie was kind of slow.
But then the movie got interesting when the girls met. They're relationship progression was fun to watch, and I thought they rode their horses well considering they're little girls. I also liked the cow hands. Some laugh out loud moments with those guys.
I also found Robert Wagner as a bad guy amusing. Wish he had more scenes.
If you're looking for a nice pleasant movie without the murder and mayhem, this is it.

So, I bought this movie right off of Amazon.com because I found out that it had Miranda Cosgrove in it and I just had to have it. I am really glad I did get it because it has a really cute plot and it's just the kind of movie for the whole family. I think that Miranda Cosgrove and Danielle Chuchran make really cute cowgirls. So Cj is this huge know it all about horses and the ranch and she thinks that Hannah is just a dumb city slicker but it turned out that she knew a lot about horses. The main reason I saw this movie is because Miranda Cosgrove was in it and I am just obsessed with her so I watched the movie and fell in love with this movie. Lastly, I really think this movie should be recommendable to anyone looking for a cute movie about cute horses and cute cowgirls getting into mischief, should definitely give The Wild Stallion a chance because it is one cute movie. I give it 10 stars just because there is no option to give it four billion.

- CuriosidadesThe camera Hanah is using has a 50mm lense. Hardly a zoom lense. Wildlife photography tequires a zoom of at least 300mm to 500mm. 50mm is used for portraits, not wildlife.
- PifiasDespite being told cattle were no longer on the ranch, they can be heard throughout the movie.
