Romancing the Bride

Romancing the Bride stars Laura Prepon of "That '70s Show" as a young woman who chooses a Mexican resort hotel as the place to get married. She wakes up the morning of her wedding day in bed with a stranger and a hangover. He's a Mexican hottie, played by former Days Of Our Lives star Matt Cedeno, who is glad to be hitched to her. She takes off on a wild march to find out how it happened and to undo it before her fiancé, not to mention her controlling mom (played brilliantly by Carrie Fisher), learn about it. It's an amusing little adventure, if not a great movie, and a chick flick that should appeal to the channel's female audience. It isn't trying to change the world or make a point, just an entertaining little made for TV movie. The film does seem uneven at times in the editing but the strong cast makes it work. In addition, Matt and Laura have a lot of chemistry together.

I loved this movie! It kept me interested the whole time wondering what might happen next. I can't really compare it to any other movie since it is unique. The beginning started off excellent and kept me hooked since. I'm a huge fan of Laura Pepron. I hope to see her in many more movies. She was amazing. There were a couple moments where it seemed like the mother or the groom-to-be (Brian) did not have much acting skill because they seemed to stumble over themselves a little. But lucky for us, they aren't in much of the movie. I can't really find anything to complain about this movie. 2 thumbs up from me. Can't wait to see it again!!

Had no idea how I was going to like this film, but as soon as I starting watching a bride losing her memory and winding up in bed with another guy, I was glued to the TV. Matt Cederio, (Carlos), gave an outstanding performance as one of Jennifer Drohan,(Claire) lovers and handcuffed to him after a so called one night stand. There is plenty of drama and comedy and Carrie Fisher, (Edwina) gave a great supporting role with all kinds of sexy language to go along with her lines. This is truly a very entertaining film and had me laughing through out the entire film. Matt Cederio certainly is a very handsome guy and if the gals like a real HUNK this is the GUY.

I recently watched Romancing the Bride and was completely disappointed by the fact that Matt Cedeno is not Mexican or even of Mexican descent. I am confused as to why they would hire a Cuban to badly play the so called "Latin Adonis." He should have at least attempted to speak with a Mexican-Spanish accent. Did the casting director seriously believe they could get away with this?? That was a very bad job on their part. I am sure there are many talented Mexican-American men who could have played the part of Carlos. Many viewers may not be able to distinguish the difference between a Hispanic male from Cuba or from Mexico. However, when a website makes claims regarding the Oxygen Network and it's viewers based on demographics such as, "Oxygen puts a fresh spin on television from a woman's point of view with smart, fun, daring and above all, entertaining programming." Well, if this claim is true, then why is there such a large fault resulting from obvious defective judgment?

When on a whim I thought I'd look up the trivia for this movie on IMDb and I saw that it had a standing rating of a measly 6 stars my heart sunk.

This movie was incredible! It was filled with perhaps the most memorable one-liners, the funniest "villians", and the most unbelievable break downs imaginable. Not to mention one of the hunkiest pieces of man meat I have ever had the pleasure of watching for an hour and some odd minutes jump through cinema hoops.

This movie had me laughing, crying, and kept me guessing through the entire thing. Sit down with your significant other, your sister, your brother, your mother, your father, your best friend, your puppy, kitty, or stuffed animal named Paul, I don't know...just WATCH IT.
