Imagine beautiful dancers, Who thirst for blood and Want What They Want… This film actually is different, It shows the world of strip dancing and What might happen if Vampiresses chose to live in that environ. I should have known Athena Demos choreographed the girls routines, She of the Best Abs in VanNuyswood. Amazing poster that should help sell the DVD, Which makes me think of all the wonderful extras that may be. The music was right on by Hydraulic Clown Head, Thanks for setting the eerie mood. The pacing is very fast with few camera tricks. Be they vampires or heroes,This film is ruled by females.

Well, Zombie Strippers is not available yet, so I went for what appeared to be the next best thing.

This is a low low budget movie about zombie strippers, or vampires, as they like to be called. Thing is, they don't just bite and suck blood, they also eat flesh.

Cherokee (Elizabeth Hayden Smith) wants to dance because it pays more than waiting, so she enlists Elyse's (Aime Wolf) help. Yes, she'll help you. Help you right into the den of bloodsuckers.

Good music by Hydraulic Clown Head, significant boobage - it IS a film about strippers - and the hero is just your average pizza dude.

Cocktail waitress Cherokee wants to earn more cash by dancing at the topless bar where she works but ends up getting involved with a group of sexy, female vampires. Released by Film2000 here in the UK this label specialises in putting out badly acted, low budget junk. And it could certainly be said that Blood Dancers falls into that category HOWEVER, what I liked about this movie is that it has it's tongue firmly in it's cheek, it does not take itself seriously. Indeed there is plenty of humour here. There are plenty of scenes of the girls getting their tops off, a fair smattering of (cheap) gore & a pretty good soundtrack. It does getting a bit surreal too during some of the vampire attacks, maybe a bit reminiscent of 70's Euro horror. On the downside much of the acting is wooden, the script is painfully bad at times and at 102 minutes it does feel too long. Plus I had to watch the ending a couple of times as it seemed a bit rushed. As bad movies go, it's a good one!
