Star Wars Digital Edition Hitting April 10th Loaded With Additional Bonuses
As the world prepares to completely lose its mind with the release of the new Star Wars film, it is obviously time to try to stir the pot as much as possible. That in mind, the previous films from the franchise are going to be released on April 10th in digital edition, and with some new bonuses to help sucker you in to the purchase.

They also come with the legacy bonus content, and put together, these are impressive releases. I don’t want to overly comment on how many sales the first three episodes are going to get, but if you need to catch up on the universe in general, this is your chance. And, since we’re looking at a new generation who need to get on board for the new film, this is the way to go.

Take a look at all the bonus potential below, and...

Star Wars on digital HD: trailers and pricing announced
Update: all six Star Wars films are out as HD downloads on the 10th April. Prices and trailers have been revealed...

Update: Yesterday, it was revealed that the first six episodes in the Star Wars saga are to be made available to buy digitally for the first time.

The movies will be made available worldwide on the same day - that's the 10th April - along with a clutch of new and old features to accompany each film.

Disappointingly, we'll be getting the later, digitally-modified Star Wars films rather than the original theatrical release.

It's also fair to say that the prices won't please everyone, either; a quick look on Xbox Video reveals that the full set's going for £69.99, while the individual films will set you back £13.99.

In the Us, the prices are $89.99 for the set and $19.99 per episode; if Google's calculator's correct, that makes the American set cheaper than...

Six ‘Star Wars’ Blu-ray Promos Try to Remind You That You Still Love These Movies
Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, David Prowse, and Kenny Baker in La guerra de las galaxias (1977)
[1] George Lucas' changes [2] to the Star Wars Blu-ray set have drawn some ire as of late, but let's be real -- these things are still gonna sell like hotcakes. While Lucas' alterations really will turn off some of his fans, it's probably a safe bet that many more will shell out for them anyway, even if they're grumbling as they do so. With that in mind, here are six ads for the Blu-ray that try to put you in a more positive state of mind about the updated releases. [via Geek Tyrant [3]] I actually quite like the first video, which is simple but effective -- just brief clips of some of the most thrilling moments from the saga, cut together in a very dynamic way. It's not enough to make me stop hating that Vader "Nooooo!" but it's nice to be reminded of why we love this series so much when...

Star Wars: The Complete Saga Blu-ray review
Glen gets to grips with the release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray. Is it worth your time and money? Here's his review...

Being asked if you want to review Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray isn’t a difficult question to answer. The catch being that it involved an incredibly tight deadline, and not much sleep for a few days.

Sure, the films have been tweaked some more by George Lucas, moving them yet further away from the versions that everyone grew up with. And, of course, the original theatrical versions aren’t included. But, countering that, how could you not want to see Star Wars on Blu-ray?

The controversies surrounding the new changes have been covered extensively here and on other sites over the past few weeks, so I’m going to avoid going into that in any great detail, and instead focus...

Announced: Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray
The Star Wars Saga makes its collective HD debut this September, in a nine-disc collection that would make a Sith Lord blush...

The fourth of May be with you! Or something. For those of us already bored with our Star Wars VHS and DVD boxed sets now gathering dust on a shelf somewhere, today saw Lucasfilm make a rather special announcement - Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray.

That this sextet of sci-fi is coming out in high-definition isn’t a particularly well-kept secret, but the host of extras present on the nine disc set perhaps is. Each feature will come on its own separate disc with twin audio commentaries, while a further three discs will come with a profusion of deleted and extended scenes, matte paintings and concept art, plus cast and crew interviews.

The ninth disc, meanwhile, will contain no fewer than eight Star Wars-flavoured documentaries.
