During the wheelchair race, you can see a film production going on down the hallway. That movie is another gay film Latter Days (2003) that was shooting at the same time in the same hospital.
The whole cast and crew stayed in the cabin where Drew takes Mark. Matthew Montgomery (Mark) and Aaron Orr (Drew) shared a room. It can be seen in the film: It's the room Mark sleeps in.
