One of the greatest games of all time

The sequel improves on the original in every single way.

+The graphics were and still are amazing. I am surprised the PS2 was capable of something like this. The character models are impressive, the CGI is great, and the animation is silky smooth 60 FPS

+The music is very epic and memorable.

+Voice acting is vastly improved from the original (which has some of the worst voice acting ever)

+There is a very nice "Item trade" system that the game implements.

+Multiple story branches. You need to play the game at least 4-5 times to see everything.

+Improve combat. The original mostly had you mashing on the square button but this time you can actually do inputs to change your attacks. There are not a ton of different moves but it makes the combat funnier to play.

+The story starts off as a simple revenge story, but it becomes so much better once you start meeting people and getting to know their history and why they are fighting.

+You get to play multiple characters

    +Some nice boss fights

~You get pretty much the exact same weapons as the first games except this time you get an ice spear ~The ending is disappointing as the game rewards you with a short 10 second ending. ~The trading system is very fun but for some reason Capcom decided to remove the entire system about 1/3 of the way through. You really have to do all your trading while you are in the town in the first 3rd.

This is a hidden gem and one of the best sequels of all time. It is one of the best games ever made.

    Faith, Charity, Respect, Honesty, Strength!

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, the second game in the Onimusha series is a pretty decent sequel to the Onimusha Warlords. Taking place a few years after the first game, the main character (Samanosuke) does not take part in the sequel, Instead we are introduced to a new character. Jubei Yagyu (Modeled after the late Yusaku Matsuda) The evil Nobunaga Oda has started his reign of tyranny across Japan, he starts with attacking the peaceful Yagyu Village and killing everyone in his path. The young warrior Cheiftan of Yagyu Jubei Yagyu races back to his village and finds everything completely destroyed, After seeing a vision of Takajo (Jubei's Mother) he is requested to the town of Imasho and search for 5 mystic orbs in order to destroy Nobunaga...

You'll have to play the game if you want to know the rest ^_^

The game itself is pretty good, but can be irritating at times. You basically have to match up the storyline with each character you meet and make sure you get it right!!! The voice actors for the characters are abit out of place, a few are perfect but I wont complain so there. I have yet to still hear the Japanese Seiyu for this game.

The fights themselves are pretty cool, they can start of easy but end up being hard as you move along in the game.

Overall, I say that this is a pretty good sequel to Onimusha Warlords. So go and buy it, you wont be disappointed.

better than the first in more ways than one!

i played this game for 4 days straight and it is WAY better than the first!

the plot is basically the same (mystic samurai must defeat demon horde), but now, you absorb your enemies' souls (ala "Soul Reaver") instead of their power. Also, you can transform into "Onimusha", a powered-up version of yourself with white hair, purple skin, & energy powers.

this is about as close to an interactive movie as you're going to get! (besides playing Max Payne) Pick this one up!

"To share is the same as to survive"

Onimusha 2 was a good game. First,it teaches players how to share what they have to others. Second,if you choose to give the gift items that you found and bought including swords and armors to a specific sub character, then that character will help you in times of need.Third, this game provides many choices on events and characters. Finally, this game has many surprises and playing sub characters isn't limited. You just need to trade from the sub characters and they will show up and become playable.

In conclusion, I give this game a 10/10 for the art of patience and creativity.

I also look forward for the next Onimusha. Thanks to the designer and the author for designing this game. Jubei,Samonosuke and the sub characters showed what their true purpose in the story.
