True cinematic experience... One you don't come across everday.

You climb a flight of stairs, sniper rifle in hand. Half the building is blown away, but you continue looking for the perfect perch. Coming up behind an enemy Nazi, he turns around just to see you clobber him squarely in the face, and as he tries to rise, you finish him off with another blow. You step over the body, and set your sights. Down below, a score of Germans are battling with Allied forces. You mark your target, and squeeze the trigger. An officer takes the bullet, and his cap flies off. Directly across the alleyway, a Nazi sniper turns and raises his rifle. Another quick round silences him. Below, a German soldier turns to make a break for the machine gun a few metres away. Your rifle barks again, and the targets flips forward. He gets up painstakingly, and finally, you pull the trigger. His falls back, muttering his last words. You load a new magazine, and gaze into the rubble-filled streets of Arnhem.

Medal of Honor Frontline is a game that takes you beyond D-Day, and as it states, right into the Frontlines. Each level is beautifully done. This game proves that you don't need special effects and all that for it to be a great game.

A complete recommendation to all shooter fans.

    What a Rush!

This game is what all FPS games should be. There have been plenty of comments about the graphics, the sound, the gameplay, blah, blah, blah. What really grabbed this player was the interactive music. When Patterson is sneaking down an alley, the background music reflects the building tension. As one of the Nazis hears Patterson coming and hits the alarm button the music picks up to a heart-pounding tempo. Once all the Germans are eliminated and Patterson returns to steathily creeping around, the music backs off again. It's a particular rush to play with a large-screen tv and surround sound. You can actually hear bullet strikes in front of, behind, to the left and right of you. Whip out the plastic an pony up for a home theater system. Even if it's only to play THIS game, it's worth it.

    Awesome game

Medal of Honor Frontline is probably one of the coolest games ever made. You are Jimmy Patterson, a US soldier who must fight off the nazis and do all sorts of missions. The only thing I have against this game is that its pretty aggravating to climb ladders and fall off every single time. The missions are just awesome and you get to play with all sorts of guns.

Overall the game is awesome and you will love it. Rating A+++. (Tied for best game)

    A video game classic

This was the title that made me go out and get a PS2, and it has paid off. The game is a gripping, sometimes frightening ride through several scenarios of WWII. It is a marked improvement in every way from the PS1 installments. Those who have played the 1st two games will see some familiar sequences. The submarine pen mission from MOH I was, in many ways, copied over and updated. Still, the enhanced rendering of characters, weapons and environments more than makes up for the overall familiar feel of the level. The 1st(D-day) 3rd and 4th "campaigns" are simply stunning, and I'm still playing!. Your "squad" members, more than any other video game, are interactive elements in the action, taking initiative and often leading the way. I thought the design of the campaigns were much more in line with what a high level operative might be asked to do (aside from the massive kill ratio). For instance, sabotaging a bridge or rescuing a captured operative are much more realistic than say, the single handed destruction of the Nazi atomic program such as in MOH 1 and 2. Dont get me wrong, the action is still fast and furious, and the more numerous enemies in Frontline will keep you on your toes, even on the easy level. An interesting point, the weapons have become less accurate in this installment (the barrels rise sharply on weapons with full auto), and reload time has actually increased. I thought this added to the realism of the game rather than detracted from it. the sound effects are better than ever, and I suggest, for a few levels at least, turning off the music (which is very good) to get the full range of sound effects. I highly recommend MOH Frontline, any fan of first person games cannot miss this one.

Medal of Excitement and Medal of Perfection

I just bought my PS2 yesterday but it was broken. So today, I exchanged it for a new one and it worked. I rented Medal of Honor: Frontline and it is the best game I have ever played! The graphics are astonishing and the weapons are mind-blowing. Nothing's more fun than playing as Lieutenant James Patterson killing Nazis and French guys. Each mission is packed with action and just more and more Nazis to terminate. Medal of Honor: Frontline is a highly recommended video for PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. As the first PS2 game I've played, it's far by the best video game ever. Steven Spielberg is a genius creating this game! As I played, I felt like I was right in the middle of the battle of war. Nobody should hate Medal of Honor: Frontline because it's the most exciting game a video-game fan craves for. The Nazis are tough, but it's worth shooting them. And there's tons of weapons you can obtain. My favorite one is the machine guns. Medal of Honor: Frontline should be made into a film directed by Spielberg! If that ever happens, it will be mind-blowing! If you have any comments or agreements for me, please e-mail me at tylerripen@yahoo.com.

    • Curiosidades
In the "On Track" mission, in the town square there is wanted poster for Jimmy Patterson in a German disguise, complete with reward for his capture.
    • Pifias
In this game, Jimmy Patterson participates in the D-Day invasion. However, in the series canon, it is established in the first game, "Medal of Honor", that Patterson was among those flying paratroopers behind enemy lines the night before D-Day and was shot down. He held off a detachment of Nazi troopers until he could be rescued by the Allies reached him after D-Day. Therefore, he could not have participated in the D-Day invasion himself.
    • Versiones alternativas
Due to Germany not allowing Nazism in video games at that time, the German version removes all Nazi symbols and references from the game and cutscenes using historical film material were re-cut and also avoid Nazi related words like Hitler for example. Additionally most level statistics were removed as well.
