    Fast and Friggin' Fun.

Most People who play video games don't know about Captain Falcon. He's one of the unsung heroes of the 90s, Which i don't really understand. all the games he starred in previous to 2002 were a lot of fun, and he seems like a cool guy. he races machines that go somewhere beyond 1000 MPH, he's a bounty hunter, and a fighter. so why does Captain falcon not get much attention as he should? So This is F-Zero X. As you might know, the main character is Captain Falcon, even though there are 29 other playable characters in the game. The whole idea is to race in the F-zero grand Prix for trophies. but thats only the racer. the player will race for new characters and tracks.

There's other modes aside from grand Prix. there's also Time Trial mode, which is a no-brainer if you're adding a mode to a racing game. The trick is to get the fastest time possible, and post it on Youtube to prove you're the fastest thing on the F-zero Grand Prix track.

Now there's another mode which is original and very fun. it's called Death race, in which the player races on a looping track that just goes straight. the objective is to use your machine's spinning technique to knock out the other racers, by destroying their machines or knocking them off the track. but don't get knocked off yourself, cause then it's game over. if you are the sole survivor out of 30 machines, your time and score is recorded and you can brag that you won a Death race.

The final Mode is VS Mode. You should know what that's for. VS mode means you can play multi-player, up to 4 racers. The only real drawback is you can't play multi-player for Grand Prix and Death Race.

This game is just straight up racing fun. The visuals are fun to look at, kinda like Jenna Jameson at work. The speed is just insane. if they made a sonic the hedgehog game for N64, it should have the F-zero X Engine. The music is the best thing about the game. it rocks harder than Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Disturbed and Dragonforce all mashed into one. i'm not Kidding you. it is so awesome to listen to the music while you're ripping up the course at 1200 MPH.

    No downers

I already enjoyed F-Zero on my old SNES (had to sell it to get the N64), but I think this futuristic racing game is one of the best racing games ever made! it's got everything that the original F-Zero didn't: (much)more than four cars to choose from, 3D racing, practice mode in which you can play EVERY course - not less than half of it, unlockable stuff and multi player mode. Even though the graphics (not of the course, cars and actions but the backgrounds and surroundings) might not be top notch, that's just to make sure the game cold be played at top speed without crashing frame-rates (which more than once happened to me in Goldeneye, when bombs exploded - nevertheless also a great game). Two thumbs up!

One of the best games ever on the N64!

F-Zero X is an update of the classic F-Zero game for the Super Nintendo system. Four characters are back from the original and are now joined by 26 new drivers. In addition, old tracks get major updates and there are new tracks altogether. Be sure to check out the new features. The graphics are, of course, very good and far surpass the original. The game is a challenge, but that makes it all the more fun. F-Zero X is a must for video game fans.

An expansion kit was released in Japan for the game to be used with the Nintendo 64DD. Players could create custom tracks, custom vehicles and it featured a new improved soundtrack and access to new cups and new vehicles: the Super Falcon, Super Stingray and Super Cat. Even though it wasn't released outside of Japan due to the commercial failure of the Disk Drive, the expansion's data can still be found in the game's files.

The four pilots behind the machines from the first game in the series: their ages are inconsistent with the events of the previous game. Captain Falcon whom was presumed to be in his early 30s is 36, the once-31-year-old Dr. Stewart behind the Golden Fox is 41, the once 34-year-old Pico behind the Wild Goose is 123, and Samurai Goroh whom was presumed to be in his early 40s is 44.
