This film got Nandi award. Thammareddy Krishnamurty was the main thinker and sponsor of the film, the man behind. Apparently he had struggled a lot to book A Nageswara Rao and Krishnakumari, she was too busy therefore declined the offer.He booked Bharathi instead on ANR's suggestion. She did quite well but for some reason she was not seen very often in Films and she faded away. In those days there were good stories, great lyrics and dedicated actors and actresses, Film making was a laborious process and took years to complete. Therefore there were not many releases either. Now things have changed which is of course inevitable; there are hundreds of films made each year and each is made in a a few weeks! No quality of course ...! Dr L Krishnamurty
