Colin Trevorrow’s The Book Of Henry Adds Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman And More
Colin Trevorrow is still at least a couple of years away from starting work on Star Wars Episode IX, and so in the meantime, he’s working on The Book of Henry for Focus Features. The cast of the movie has already attracted Naomi Watts (The Divergent Series), Jaeden Lieberher (St. Vincent), and Jacob Tremblay (Room), and now three more very impressive casting additions have been made in the form of Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy), Sarah Silverman (A Million Ways to Die in the West), and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad).

Following the success of Jurassic World (now the third highest grossing movie of all-time), it perhaps shouldn’t come as any sort of surprise that Trevorrow has attracted such a great cast for his next project. The plot of the movie is being kept under wraps for now, but the screenplay was written by best-selling novelist Gregg Hurwitz,...

Colin Trevorrow's time-travel script, Stealing Time, is back on the table
After your film makes well over a billion dollars worldwide, it's only natural that studios will start digging up your past work. Seven years ago Colin Trevorrow wrote Stealing Time, a time-traveling adventure film which Walt Becker (Wild Hogs) was set to direct for Columbia, and now THR reports that the project has been revived by Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks. Stealing Time involves... Read More...

"Time," "Virginian" Scripts Move Forward
"Pixels" and "This Means War" scribe Tim Dowling has been hired to pen a new draft of the time-travel adventure "Stealing Time," an old script by "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow who will executive produce.

The story involves a scientist who flees into the past to protect his time machine from crooks bent on exploiting time travel. This forces his son and grandson to rebuild the device in the present to rescue him.

Bob Cooper and Charles Segars will produce that project, no word as yet when it might go into production.

In other script news, New Line has acquired Michael Gunn's screenplay "The Virginian," a period action thriller about George Washington. Donald De Line will produce.

The story follows a down-and-out young Washington who accepts a dangerous mission to conquer a French fort and save the American colonies.

French Actor Mathieu Almaric Talks Directing 'The Screen Illusion' & The Difficulties Of Pie-Throwing In Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis'
You won't see Mathieu Almaric in his new film, "The Screen Illusion" -- which is part of the Rendez-vous with French Cinema Film Festival -- because this time, he's the director.

In fact, Almaric -- best-known to American audiences through his roles in "Munich, "Le Scaphandre et le Papillion" ("The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"), and "Quantum of Solace," has been a director longer than he's been an actor. As a teenager, he took a job as a trainee Ad on Louis Malle's "Au Revoir les Enfants" and he won Best Director at Cannes in 2010 for "Tournee." He has also worked with some of France's best directors, of course -- among them Arnaud Desplechin and Alain Resnais -- and he'll next be seen in David Cronenberg's forthcoming "Cosmopolis," playing a "pastry assassin" who creams Robert Pattinson in the face as part of his mission to sabotage power and wealth worldwide.

‘Wild Hogs’ director set for ‘Stealing Time’
Walt Becker has signed on to direct “Stealing Time” for Columbia Pictures, Variety reported earlier today.

The film centers on three generations of men who travel all around the world to learn more about the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient device that may help make time travel possible.

Becker is directing a script written by Colin Trevorrow, whose credits also include DreamWorks’ upcoming project “Tester.”

Becker recently helmed “Wild Hogs” and is currently wrapping up post-production of Walt Disney’s upcoming comedy “Old Dogs.” He’s also directing and producing “The Zookeeper.”...
