Nostalgic movie from southern Brazil

If you are Brazilian, if you were born in Rio Grande do Sul, and still remember life in the 60s, this movie will make you laugh - you will enjoy it! The plot is simple, the story line is simple. However, when you suspend disbelief, and just enjoy the scenery, the songs, the humor, you will feel a lot better at the end! It is not great cinema, nor a masterpiece - it does not need to. It is simply a sample of a life style that does not exist anymore, and of a singer (Jose Mendes, who sang the title song, a huge hit in 1969, 1970) who has left a lasting impression and beautiful songs. Unfortunately, his career was cut short in a car accident.There is a lot to love and remember in "Para Pedro".
