It was a misguided film. What should have been about a woman who was suffering from the suicide of her husband became an unexplained flick about a psychopathic / atypical crazy girl.
When looking into the actual premise it's just a sad story about a woman who has early onset dementia and hysteria induced from the sudden death of her husband.
She becomes mislead by her own sense of reason and drifts from reality. I couldn't say that there was anything appealing about this movie if not for the intent of watching Heather Graham in a once in a life time performance.
Plus, me from 10yrs ago is now cackling like a child and saying that she makes out with Carrie-Anne Moss for a whole scene.

I was looking through TV Guide last night and saw a movie starring Heather Grahm on, who I liked in movies like Boogie Nights, and Austin Powers, so I decided to watch it. It started out ok, but you could tell the story was lacking, and at about half way through, it started to deteriorate. I do not remember this movie being in the theaters, and I'm sure if it was, it wasn't there long. The acting was stale and unconvincing, the dialogue was silly and predictable, and the story was confusing and stupid. Definately one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and I like movies like the ones this has been compared to like Fight Club, but this one doesn't come close!! Heather Grahm has done much better things since. I gave it a 2 out of 10 but thats because I clicked on the wrong number, I meant to give it a 1.
I happened to catch this over the weekend, and was bewildered the entire time. This is an odd movie, rather slow-paced, and through most of it you're scratching your head, going "Huh?" However, Heather Graham does give her character, Olive, depth and believability.
Honestly, this is a very funny movie if you are looking for bad acting (Heather Graham could never live this down... it has three titles for a reason- to protect the guilty!), beautifully bad dialog ("Do you like... ribs?"), and a plot only a mother could approve, this is your Friday night entertainment!
My roommate rented this under the title "Terrified" because he liked Heather Graham, but terrified is what we felt after the final credits. Not because the movie is scary, but because somebody actually paid money to make this turd on a movie reel.
Horrible movie. There are a few no-name actors that provide some unintentional comedy, but nothing worth viewing. Heather Graham's dramatic climax also was one of the most pathetic and disturbing things I have ever witnessed. I award this movie no point, and may God have mercy on its soul.

When I saw this, I felt like looking a little independent movie with potential for a little cult movie... Heather Graham gives a grippy performance... yes, the camera angles and cuts are really kinda culty, the costumes are very stylish (both a bit 60ies-like) and the story is , not although, but because it is confusing, quite exciting and suspense, with several surprising and unexpected turns...yeah, but the storyline doesn't count that much, it's how it is put in action... As far as the style is concerned, it reminds me a bit of a mix of "Carnival Of Souls" and "Blow Up"...
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesDirector James Merendino said the film was inspired by Roman Polanski's Repulsión (1965). "I sort of ripped it off."
