Fuglekrigen i Kanøfleskoven

At first it was originally going to be released into the United States but there were several scenes that were inappropriate and were cut from the release. One was a scene of Oliver asking a woodpecker who had a resemblance to Woody Woodpecker to join him to fight Fagin, the woodpecker became outraged and did the middle finger, Oliver did the same when Olivia was singing a song. Blood was even in the film at which Fagin scratched his slave and when Betty ripped out Fagin's eye and at Armstrong's party was sexual content. About 30 seconds of the film was cut for the U.S. release.

The English dub of the movie contains a completely different music score and sound effects, such as a thunder sound when we zoom into Fagin's eye. The songs "Down at the Pipe' and Olivia's Love Song are also rewritten, the former being done in a more jazzy style and the latter having some different lyrics and an added background chorus. The former song also has much of the footage swooped around with a few bits of footage deleted or recycled, most likely to remove some bits of inappropriate content. The two scenes where characters pointed their middle fingers were also edited out, as well as the original opening titles and the scene where Walter reaches for his drink in the log. Despite these edits, the character names, much of the original dialogue, and even the violence remained intact from the Danish language version.
