It's been barely a year since Tower of God ended its Season 2 run, but it makes perfect sense that fans would like to revisit the show – or own it before it drops out of Crunchyroll. The good news is that the anime-first company is releasing Season 2 of the hit anime series this September, and the best part: The show is getting a gorgeous Steelbook Blu-ray edition that simply has to make it into your collection. Tower of God: Return of the Prince Part 1 will hit shelves on September 19.

If you decide to purchase it, you will be able to select the special Steelbook edition or the regular Blu-ray release of Tower of God. Part 1 includes Episodes 1-13 of Season 2, and, as the title indicates, it covers the Return of the Prince arc. The City Hunter: Angel Dust anime film kicked off with a theatrical release in Japan in September 2023—with a North American premiere following in August 2024—and now it’s heading to Blu-ray in North America. Shout! Studios distributes the Anime Limited release, which is up for pre-order now ahead of a July 14 launch. Here’s what to expect from the North American Blu-ray: City Hunter: Angel Dust Movie (Blu-ray) Ryo Saeba is known as City Hunter, the top “sweeper” within the underworld. Based in Shinjuku as a private detective, he and his partner Kaoru Makimura take on a variety of clients. Their latest case is provided by Angie, a filmmaker, with a simple request - to find her missing cat. Ryo is thrilled by Angie's beautiful looks while Kaori is thrilled by the hefty reward… Meanwhile, Saeko Nogami of the Metropolitan Police investigates an invention of the biotech company Zoltech...

Released in 1994 and preceding Gakuryu Ishii‘s more well-known “August in the Water” by just one year, “Angel Dust” represents a significant entry in Ishii’s career, showcasing his departure from his punk rock style as he transitions into the realm of psychological horror. While initially unknown outside of Japan, “Angel Dust” has since gained a little cult following and is now regarded as an essential and representative work of the Japanese horror genre, as well as an influencing piece for similar East Asian serial killer films.

“Angel Dust” offers a gripping detective/serial killer story that is as enigmatic as it is enjoyable. The story follows a female detective, named Setsuko Suma, investigating the connected murders of several young women who were all wearing red the night they were killed. It’s a mixture of goosebump-inducing moments and some more passive ones that are equally as unsettling.

New Order have announced a “definitive” box set of their 1986 album, Brotherhood, out November 22nd via Warner Music. What’s more, they’re separately reissuing the 12-inch singles for “Bizarre Love Triangle,” “State of the Nation,” and “Touched by the Hand of God.”

The Brotherhood collection features nine unreleased songs and demos from a 1985 recording session in Japan alongside remixes and their contributions to the soundtrack of Beth B’s film Salvation. Among these tracks are the full-length version of “Every Little Counts” and instrumental versions of “All Day Long” and “Broken Promise.”

Also included are DVDs containing live performances at Brixton Academy, G-Mex Manchester, and Glastonbury, as well as TV shows from the UK and Europe — all of which are coming to DVD for the first time. Pre-orders for Brotherhood Definitive Edition and the 12-inch reissues are ongoing.
