The 10 Best Movies Of All Time, According To IMDb
Image
When it's not getting review bombed by angry fans, IMDb is a fountain of filmic knowledge that has all the answers. Besides being the solution to every movie section at Trivia Night, the Internet Movie Database also has a list of the top 250 films of all time, as decided by Hollywood's toughest judges -- the general audience. It's a ranking that is crammed with unquestionably brilliant films, but it's also a pretty big pile to get through. 240 of these popular picks are all well and good, but let's not kid ourselves. It's the top 10 on the list that are what we always want to get to.

IMDb's top 10 consist of some absolutely essential viewings not just for die-hard cinephiles, but anyone that is in the mood to sit down for a certified banger that hasn't lost its touch. With the youngest entrant on the list being just over a decade old,...

Jon M. Chu Teases Return to 'G.I. Joe' Movie Franchise
Image
Jon M. Chu has made a name for himself with acclaimed films like Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights and now is at the helm of one of 2024's most anticipated movies, Wicked. Yet before all that, he began his directing career with movies like Step Up 2: The Streets, Jem and the Holograms, and notably G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The G.I. Joe franchise has had a rough road since the 2013 film as the prequel/spin-off/reboot Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins bombed at the box office in 2021, and now it looks like Hasbro and Paramount will try to relaunch the franchise by pairing them with the Transformers.Former

Comic Book asked Chu if he would be open to directing another G.I Joe film. Chu noted that he is currently busy with Wicked and its follow-up, Wicked - Part Two, which opens in theaters in November 2025, so his schedule is locked down for now.

“It’s sin, pure and simple”: The Passion of the Christ Star Jim Caviezel is So Strict about 1 Rule He Even Asked Latina Goddess Jennifer Lopez to Wear Clothes for a Love Scene
Image
N*de scenes in Hollywood are nothing new. While some are okay with baring their bodies for the screen, all a part of the art, some show hesitancy on the matter. And actor Jim Caviezel, who is most famous for the movie The Passion of the Christ and the show, Person of Interest, is in the latter group of people.

At least, with much more open and secure sets for intimate scenes and the incorporation of intimacy conductors, things have become much smoother now. Yet, it did come as a surprise to many when Caviezel refused to go ahead with a n*de scene, even if his scene partner was one of the sexiest people alive.

Mamma Mia! 3 Gets Optimistic Update From Meryl Streep
Image
Meryl Streep reveals that she is taking a meeting about Mamma Mia! 3 soon. Streep says that "I want to do it" if a return is possible. There are plenty of ways Streep's character Donna could be incorporated into a new Mamma Mia! movie.

Mamma Mia! 3 has received an optimistic update from star Meryl Streep. Streep played the role of single mother Donna Sheridan in the 2008 movie adaptation of the hit stage musical, which used the Abba songbook to tell the story of a young woman who invites three possible fathers to her wedding. Ten years after its release, the cast - including Streep - reunited for a sequel, subtitled Here We Go Again. While the possible Mamma Mia! 3 was announced to be in development as of 2020, subsequent updates on the sequel have left its fate unclear.

Per Deadline, Meryl Streep spoke about the sequel while attending the Cannes Film Festival,...

Amazon Prime Video New Releases: September 2023
Image
It’s a deceptively big month on Prime Video in September! To kick things off, The Wheel of Time will be back for a second season on the service, while a live-action The Boys spinoff series called Gen V will be capping off the original series content later in the month.

But there are also some interesting new projects lined up between those two biggies. On September 15, Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen star in what is sure to be a delicious tale of revenge. Wilderness, based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, stars Coleman as a heartbroken wife who discovers her husband has been cheating on her after she gives up her whole life to move over to America with him and support his career.

You should also keep an eye out for Cassandro, landing on Prime Video on the same day. The film, which has been...

HeyUGuys IMDb250 Project – Week 20
The IMDb250. A list of the top 250 films as ranked by the users of the biggest movie Internet site on the web. It is based upon the ratings provided by the users of The Internet Movie Database, which number into the millions. As such, it’s a perfect representation of the opinions of the movie masses, and arguably the most comprehensive ranking system on the Internet.

It’s because of this that we at HeyUGuys (and in this case, we, is myself and Barry) have decided to set ourselves a project. To watch and review all 250 movies on the list! We’ve frozen the list as of 1st January this year. It’s not as simple as it sounds, as we’ll be watching them in one year, 125 each.

Week 20, 100 films down 150 to go. One of my favorite weeks of film viewing was week 20 as I finally got round to...

Death Rides a Horse
Lee Van Cleef has a long and respected standing in the Spaghetti Western industry. His career in Italian cinema has seen him feature in some of the best (The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly), some of the more mediocre (The Grand Duel), and some of the absolute worst (God's Gun) that the genre has to offer. But with films such as The Big Gundown and For a Few Dollars More on the CV, the duds are easily forgiven.

Another film that exonerates the horrendous wig sported by the man with the gunsight eyes in God's Gun, is Giulio Petroni's 1967 epic, Death Rides a Horse. It may be a simple, bog-standard tale of revenge, but it's one that's told with the style and visual appeal unique to the very best examples of Spaghetti Westdom.

The somewhat mundanely named Bill (John Phillip Law), a man who drew the short straw...

Sequel to ‘Road to Perdition’ On The Way
2002’s “Road to Perdition,” starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman, was based on a graphic novel by Max Allan Collins, who continued the story in follow-ups “Road to Purgatory” and “Road to Paradise.” Variety reports that production on the second installment is about to get underway. Collins will adapt and direct “Purgatory" for his and Jeffrey B. Mallian’s Jbm Prods. and Joel Eisenberg’s Emo Films. The $20 million indie pic is being shopped at the American Film Market. The project got the go-ahead in August, when DreamWorks-Paramount waived the right to produce the sequel. DreamWorks released the original “Perdition.” As with other DreamWorks titles, “Perdition” came under the Paramount banner when the studio bought DreamWorks. “Purgatory” will follow the character of Michael Sullivan Jr.—the son in “Perdition”—as he returns home from WWII and vows to avenge the murder of his father. He is ultimately led to Frank Nitti,...
