I don't know why the naysayers are criticizing this movie. I loved the movie. I am have been looking for the soundtrack for soo long. Does anyone have any idea where I could get the songs computer date and the beast inside, I can't find these songs on any soundtrack. Whoever knows where I can find them email me. This movie had great laughs and wonderful seen. It featured the weird gothic girls and so forth. The styles did allow me to reminisce on the 80s. Though other than the jeans jacket, the miami vice look, and terashita's pants, all the rest of them were wearing costumes. The 80s were uniquely different and it's reflected in the movie.
Night of the Demons is a good movie. It's fast-paced and gory. Linnea Quigley does a marvelous disappearing act with a tube of lipstick. The soundtrack was cool but it would have been better if they had some Samhain on it. The ending is awesome.

Two sequels and a lame remake doesn't do anything to diminish the fun of this original film wherein a diverse group of high school seniors attend a Halloween party being thrown by 'weird' Angela at the deserted supposedly haunted Hull House. After staging an impromptu séance, demons come out to show these boys and girls how to really party.
I'm surprised with how well this movies has held up. Yea there's a bit of dated 80's humor but for the most part it still works surprisingly well. Plus they just don't make Scream Queens like Linnea anymore, she's awesome in both this and 'Return of the Living Dead"
Eye Candy: Cathy Podewell shows her butt; Jill Terashita goes topless; and scream queen Linnea Quigley goes full frontal

Tenney must have taken notes and memorized the Evil Dead movies because he comes out of the box with a scary high camp bit of cinema. I rented this one expecting to laugh, or scorn... but ended up genuinely horrified. Night of the Demons appeals on all fronts... ;) As a woman of sound mind and character, I am not ashamed of admitting to a bunch of strangers that this piece of shlock scared the livin' bejaysus out of me.
IF you're looking for a typical slasher, horror flick, this is a good choice. Don't expect a surprise ending or even witty, interesting dialogue. You will get some screams, some gore, some pre-mortem nudity and some laughs. The point is, don't expect too much.
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesDuring an interview, Linnea Quigley was asked if she had ever been in an audience of fans and just watched their reactions to one of her films. She replied: "I have and it's really fun. Actually, when I first saw Night of the Demons, I went to see it in a drive-in and it was really a great experience, except I forgot that the first scene I filmed was my bare butt bending over, and it was up on the screen really big, and I was like 'Oh God, no' and a little embarrassed."
- Pifias(at around 10 mins) In the convenience store, the repeated sounds from the arcade machine are actually from the Atari 2600 home version of Pac-Man (1980).
- Versiones alternativasAn "Unrated" version is available on videocassette and DVD in the United States. The following scenes included in the unrated version were cut from the theatrical release to earn an MPAA rating of "R" rather than an "X":
- The scene in which Angela bites off Stooge's tongue is a few seconds longer with a little bit more blood.
- When Suzanne gouges out Jay's eyes, the shot lingers slightly longer, exposing more gore.
- The close up shot of the razor blade ripping from the old man's throat is slightly extended with more gore. Additional scenes, cut from the R-rated version for content or running time, include:
- In the convenience store scene at the beginning of the unrated version, Linnea Quigley's character asks the two male clerks if they have "Sour Balls". In the R rated version, she simply walks past them, and out of the store.
- In the unrated version, the party scene is a little longer with more exposition.
- There are substantially more shots of Angela floating through the hallway.
- For reasons still unknown, the giant demon head that appears over Hull House at the end of the film has animated glowing red eyes in the unrated version, but does not in the R-rated theatrical cut.
