A mysterious Major Gaspar commands the Chetniks in Belgrade. Prle, Tihi and Joca have to return to Belgrade posing as government officials. Unaware of their identity, the Germans, the Partisans and the Chetniks all hunt for them.

Downed American paratroopers must be saved from the German encirclement in a village near Belgrade so Mrki, Tihi and Prle hatch a plan. Krieger and Misic search Marija's building after a tip from Prle's old friend, Dragi Kenta.

Prle, Tihi and Mrki must capture and interrogate a secret police agent Dvokrilac to learn the location of the radio transmitter which the Germans plan to use to find their secret radio station.

Abwehr send Dr. Grothe to help Gestapo infiltrate the Partisan cell in Belgrade, so they use a double agent. Krieger is convinced Grothe is a traitor so he enlists Marija to help him prove it.

While agent Mikula and his brother Ljubisa seek revenge for German destruction of their village and massacre of their family, the Partisans plan to a assassinate a German general.

Orders arrive from the Central Committee to prepare for the upcoming liberation of Belgrade so Prle recruits Moljac and his child gang to acquire beds for an improvised hospital.

The Partisans get a streak of luck when a German telegraph operator in the main station, Vili, wishes to defect to the Partisans. He accompanies Joca to disable explosive charges the Germans placed to destroy the telegraph station.

The Germans are taking all valuables from the city's vault with airtight security to Germany along with all the intellectual elite. Prle tries to break into the vault to steal some gold while Joca wants to save his doctor.

The Germans are clearing house, evacuating all high ranking government officials with the attack on Belgrade imminent. Tasked with prisoner rescue and recovering the secret police's archive, Prle, Tihi and Mrki embark on a dangerous task.

The Soviets are tightening the noose around Belgrade so the Germans order the city's waterworks to be blown up. The Partisans must infiltrate the premises and disable the explosives to prevent a catastrophe.

A heavily guarded power plant is a key target for the Partisans. With the help of Spanac, Prle and Tihi must attempt a night infiltration to secure the site for the oncoming liberation army.

The Partisans embark on one final task, defusing explosives on a bridge the retreating Germans primed to blow while Spanac tries to secure the post office. A sapper from the war past proves to be an useful ally.

Krieger remains behind in liberated Belgrade to report back to the German high command. Desperate to evacuate, he reveals Maria's betrayal and kidnaps her to aid his escape. Prle, Tihi and Mrki race against time to rescue her.
