I watched "Jutro premiera" (Tomorrow is the Premiere) with interest. The plot is about the theatre director (Gustaw Holoubek), who has problems with staging the play "The Third Bell". The leading star of the theatre (Irena Malkiewicz) first agrees to play a leading role but then backs out. The director favors his friend, Perczykowna (Kalina Jedrusik). The leading male star (Edward Dziewonski) demands a raise. Finally, the leading role is taken by the prompter, and thanks to this, the premiere can take place. "Tomorrow is the Premiere" is a satire on the theatre community. Despite exaggerations and sarcasm, the film is not without charm, subtle wit, and lyricism. This is done, apart from the production skills, by the cast, which includes many great stars of Polish cinema of the sixties. To me the acting seemed to be at times outdated, but I was happy to see some actors I remembered from my childhood. "Tomorrow is the Premiere" cannot be compared with such great films on somewhat similar subjects like "The Player" by Robert Altman from 1992, but for some people it can be funny and good entertainment.
