The only one of the "Twenty Questions" team to receive a "guest artiste" credit is Jeanne De Casalis, presumably as she is said to have never played the game before. She takes the place of Anona Winn who, like the remainder of the celebrities, were genuinely regulars on the show.

BBC Radio's "Twenty Questions" aired from 28 February 1947 to 1976 (and did indeed go out at 20.30pm on the BBC Home Service at the time the film was made). The credit "By arrangement with Maurice Winnick" would also preface the radio editions.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese was (and remains) a genuine Fleet Street pub frequented by journalists, with a notable pedigree of literary figures said to have been regular drinkers. Ironically there is some dispute over whether or not Dr Samuel Johnson was actually one of them, so it may not have been "his headquarters" as Bob suggests at all.

Jeanne De Casalis is said to be best known as Mrs Feather: this was her comedic character, a mainstay of radio and various short films, who was renowned for gossipy, one-sided telephone conversations.
