Resumen
Reviewers say 'From' is appreciated for its intriguing mystery, suspenseful storytelling, and horror elements, often drawing comparisons to 'Lost'. The show's unique premise captivates audiences, with strong performances from Harold Perrineau and Eion Bailey. Engaging character development and atmospheric tension create a gripping experience. However, some criticize the pacing, dialogue, and lack of answers, suggesting improvements. Despite these issues, many find the show addictive and worth watching, particularly for mystery and horror fans.

The preview looked like a hodgepodge of several different shows like Wayward Pines ,Lost and a little Under the Dome thrown in. I expected it to have a vague storyline after seeing that it's produced by the same makers as Lost but it has a solid storyline and the characters are likable. While not perfect, it does have suspense and is good enough to keep me hooked. A pleasant surprise.
I have loved this show so far and the acting and mysteries etc. Are definitely very cool.
However I am starting to get a little worried that this is going very much towards the "Lost" vibe.
While "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing etc. In the very end what annoyed me was how much of the mystery was there just to be mysterious.
Watching the second season, I kept finding myself a tiny bit annoyed whenever yet another weird mystery was introduced, be it a symbol, object, thing, event... mainly because I can't stop myself from thinking "Will this be relevant in any way in the long run? Is this just one of those there's-a-mysterious-fog-creature or hatch or light etc. That is never mentioned again or explained in aaaany way, ever.
Because that kind of mystery writing eventually just ends up annoying me, since the writer can reach into their behind and pull out absolutely anything and never circle back to it.
"Ok next there's a llama in a red hat that whispers the words "paleontological" and "spatula"!" aand that's it, forgotten one season later, no explanation, it was just there to be weird.
Still, will keep on watching, but if this has an ending one day where it's just on the level of "it was all in his head!" and there is no attempt at even tying some theme-logic towards all of it, then consider this review at least 2-3 points lower...

I wasn't sure what to expect from From. I've read everything from it's like Lost to it's a generic horror version of Lost. Lost is one of my favorite shows ever and the reviews for this have been mostly positive so I figured I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. I was hooked from the first episode to the last. I'm so glad they already renewed this because there are so many unanswered questions still. That's probably the only negative thing I have say about this show, it takes a long time to answer questions and when they do more pop up. It takes a little time to really get going but once it does you'll be addicted and want to binge it as quickly as possible.
Way better than I thought it would be based on some of the negative reviews on here. So good that I binged the first two seasons during a long weekend. Can't wait for the third season to come out. Great premise for a show with some similarities to shows like Lost and Wayward Pines, but different enough that it didn't feel like I was watching the same show. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror/mystery type shows with some gore. Very enjoyable and fun watch. I just hope it gets more seasons, or at least enough so we get answers to all of the questions I still have. One of the best shows I've seen in awhile.
Very intriguing series. Good storytelling. Good characters as in most of them have common sense. Good horror tv. Gory as heck in parts. Lots of mysterious things to ponder. I very much enjoyed season 1 and hope they make another. There's not many good horror tv shows out there anymore. This is a good one imo.

- CuriosidadesThe town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.
The site, known as the Beaver Bank Villa has a long history, and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military radar base which operated in the 1950's and 1960's. The paved streets and driveways were all that remained, and the fake town was built on them.
