    Disappointing

So disappointed the roster sucks and the put zero effort into making the old fans happy while giving new fans something cool the attacks to me feel sluggish for some reasons and this game right now is below my usual mortal kombat standards it sucks bad don't buy just stick with the old games for example 25 characters are you kidding me right now 25 really ? Now take a look at a mortal kombat game that's more than 10 years old mortal kombat armageddon the roster is like 65 or something are you kidding me your saying that a game from ten years ago and have 60+ characters and a modern game only has 25 pathetic dude.

    Incredible game

Now I admit I am fairly new to the fighting game genre, I first started playing MK a few months ago aside from the original MK that I had on my Sega Genesis, but regardless, this game is amazing and damn is it fun.

    8/10.

+5: The Gameplay is the refined from previous entries, it's smooth and it's flashy. I like the fatal blow system that replaces x-rays. Instead of taking up your meters, you can deliver a fatal blow if you are at low health, sort of like a last resort to deal damage to your opponent. And your meter has been replaced with 2 meters, one for combat, and one for defense. They also regenerate passively so you don't have to absorb damage to regain it. So the combat, oh wait... sorry, the Kombat is just great and it is fun to mess around with. As for the story, it's just okay, but it's not bad enough to take points away, you'll still have fun marching through the campaign and it's Aftermath dlc.

+3: Guest Fighters and Dlc are great. Nobody saw it coming when Spawn was announced as a guest fighter, and Keith David's performance is just the icing on the cake. Rambo was also a cool pick for a guest fighter, who is also voiced by Sylvester Stallone which was awesome to hear, it made the character more immersive to fight with. But my favorite guest fighter is the RoboCop fighter, not because he is a good fighter (not saying he is bad), but that he is voiced by Peter Weller, the guy that played RoboCop in the original movies who was absent from the acting space for a long time, it was amazing hearing him in the shoes of RoboCop again. I'm a bit disappointed that Shao Khan is only accessed through dlc given that you fight him in the campaign, that's the only issue I have with it, it just seems very greedy.

-2: Speaking of greed, WB games hopped on the Microtransactions trend in gaming and like with all other games that utilize this, it went poorly. This game has challenge towers that had challenges that you could only complete if you have specific items that you have to grind hundreds of hours for. Even then, getting those items is pure RNG because of loot boxes, but still it was horrible and an anti fun system. If you're a completionist, you will be very busy grinding this game. I don't know if this has changed, I only read about this monetization system because I'm playing so late after it's launch, but I have to dock points for this greed. The only reason why I'm taking off 2 points is because 1: I wasn't there when it was at its peak, and 2: I'm not a completionist so I don't care that much about getting all collectables.

So yeah, besides the mtx I wasn't around for, this game is a wonderful piece of art that should not be overlooked by fighting game lovers, for the gameplay and story, not the monetization.

    Fun but too complex

A great disappoint when compared to MK9 and MKX. I enjoyed the story fair enough (good but not great), but everything else is a bit lack-luster. The combat is too different from the other games to feel natural to a older player. They also intoduce a million different currencies that add a far too complex kyot that makes it confusing to unlock anything. simply too much going on to be enjoyable I prefer the more streamlined and focused a design f the previous games. Sad to have waited years to get Spawn in a modern nighting game and to finally get it I'm a game I don't like playing. Should have been in Injustice 2...

    Best out there!

Realistic graphics, addition of popular characters, more gruesome Wallpaper-making fatalities, and excellent fights. Its complexity and loads of different things you can do makes it truly amazing. Negative reviews in this aspect can't stand a little difficulty. Story is not as good as the previous ones, but not as bad as people make it. For most fans and newcomers, it should be a delight to play!!!

    Yet another solid entry

It doesn't reinvent the wheel of the franchise, but this is yet another great and polished entry in the legendary franchise. If you like fighting games I don't see how you could dislike this.

Mortal Kombat 11 features Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa reprising his role as Shang Tsung as portrayed in the 1995 film based on the series.

However, Tagawa was not cast in the role until later in the game's development cycle. Because the character would feature not only Tagawa's voice acting talents, but also his physical likeness, several changes had to be made to the game. Shang Tsung was removed from the main roster of fighters so that he could later be added as a DLC (Downloadable Content) character with the updated likeness. This also caused a significant portion of the game's story to be altered, and Shang Tsung's part in the plot was removed.

In Chapter 11 of Story Mode, Hanzo Hasashi can be seen far off in the background fighting Kronika's forces on board one of the boats in some scenes. Hanzo died in chapter 10, and it should have instead been Scorpion that was seen fighting.

Sonya Blade: Sergeant Cage, step forward. Your leadership and warfighting ability have earned you promotion to Commander. But there are no family favors here. By Special Forces tradition, you still have to pass one last test.
