An investigative crime mystery. Slow narration of first half which is just an average. Second half is very good and keeps you engaged throughout. Speed breaker of the movie is couple of unwanted songs and are poorly crafted. An interesting screenplay and well written script that holds the suspense until the end. BGM top notch. Vijay Antony and Action King Arjun are the 2 gems of the movie. After many succession of failure movies, "Kolaigaran" is a great comeback movie to Vijay Antony. Overall a decent watchable.

Japanese movie Suspect X was the original version and that was released on 2008. After that the movie is remaked in Korean named as The perfect Number released on 2012 .Inspired from these movies drishyam was made in malayalam.if u did'nt watch these original version go for it .Vijay acting could be better and unwanted scenes and songs are spoiled the movie Otherwise it's a good movie go and watch

Kolaigaran is no ordinary thriller! It is filled with twists, and to a certain extent, suspense. With an intriguing plot, strong cinematography and an electrifying background score, the movie, as a whole, is a treat to watch not only for the fans but also for the lovers of the thriller genre! Vijay Antony and Arjun Sarja have brilliantly portrayed their respective roles and impress the audience in each and every sequence!

Vijay A is my fav hero, I dont know why! There is something special about his acting and the script he chooses. It always eerie and mind catching.

Coming to the film, its a good watch, though it ends at 1hr50mins and not as long as a regular Indian movie of 2,10 you might feel its cut short. But the movie is good, a very catching BG score and thrilling performance from Arjun and Vijay makes this movie a good watch.

I go with 7 out of 10 being due to my bias with Vijay but still movie is above 6 anyday, I hear that this is a korean movie remake and hence may be a reason why its cut short not having the regular tamil masala that we generally get to see in typical indian movies.

A nice investigative thriller with no assumption based ending but still convincing enough just like Paapanasam. A very good selection, Vijay Antony seems to be going on a correct route. Could easily call this as an edge of the seat entertainer as well as the twist is almost inconceivable till the end which makes it a very special one to watch for those crime novels kinda audiences.
