    Resumen

Reviewers say 'Star Trek: Picard' elicits mixed reactions. Seasons 1 and 2 face criticism for poor writing, inconsistent narratives, and straying from classic Star Trek themes, leaving many disappointed. However, Season 3 is lauded for its engaging plot, nostalgic cast reunion, and enhanced writing. This season is celebrated as a return to form, providing a fulfilling conclusion and reviving the franchise's spirit. Overall, the series is viewed as a divisive entry, with Season 3 notably excelling.

    Season 3 review

I can't believe I'm writing this review after the crap they gave us for the first two seasons. But season 3 of Picard is outstanding. Whoever took over for this season is a true fan and knows what they are doing.

Why oh why could we not have had this for the first two seasons. Season 3 is everything I would want: well written, great character development, good pacing and action, adequate amounts of fan service without going overboard- it's fun and great.

The standouts to me are the interactions between Picard and Riker. It's great to see that chemistry once again. Worf is the best he's ever been. Beverly is fantastic as well- especially the scenes between her and Picard.

I have to say, so far, the performances of the TNG cast is the best I've seen from them. They really put in their all.

The only thing that saddens me is that there are no plans to keep going after Season 3. I would totally stick around for more seasons of this. I hope they change their mind.

Season 3 had me on the edge of my seat

I watched season 3 over 2 days, I paused the episode if i was distracted by my wife. I rewound the episode if I missed something (I'm as old as Picard, give me a break). Loved that all of the next generation (NG) characters were involved and had grown into their roles and brought with them their own back stories of who they had grown to be since NG.

Loved 7 of 9 (Anneka), I'm more in love with her now rather than in lust with her while with Voyager (that's a compliment, I think/hope) and with her new love interest could create another series. Reicher is more relaxed in his role and Worf blew me away with his wit and style, (I want a beard like his). Jordie surprised me with his big blue eyes, I thought the script was weak when he showed a yellow streak. Bring back Scotty!

    Worth Watching

I have to start by saying I wasn't the biggest Star Trek fan growing up. I wasn't born when the original came out and was like 7 when The Next Generation was on. I would watch episodes of both here and there but I don't remember much at all about those shows. Then JJ Abrams rebooted the franchise in 2010 and I became a huge fan. I really enjoyed all 3 of those movies starring Chris Pine as Kirk. I know some didn't because they compared them to the shows but I didn't. I just enjoyed them as a first time Star Trek viewer. The first series I watched was Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and liked that too. I finally gave Picard a chance recently and liked it so much that I blew through all 3 seasons. So, now I consider myself a Star Trek fan. If you're a fan of Star Trek or starting out like me you should watch this because you'll like it either way.

    Picard is back

Star Trek: Picard was much better than I expected. Of all the characters throughout the Star Trek franchise, Picard would definitely be on the Mount Rushmore of most beloved characters so Trekkers were worried about ruining the legacy of the character. I know some people didn't enjoy the first 2 seasons that much, most did but some did not. Almost everyone liked the third season because of the nostalgia of all The Next Generation characters reunited. I actually really liked all three seasons. Patrick Stewart doesn't miss a beat as an aging Picard and the show has a lot of solid supporting characters to make the show that much better. Definitely would recommend to any Trekkers out there or just sci-fi fans in general.

I want to see a fourth season

Everything about this show was truly enjoyable to me. All the characters that I grew or/and old watching on TV showed up on the screen one after another. Picard is getting old but before Patrick Stewart ends up dying I want to see more seasons of this show. The show admittedly started off slow but but it got better every season. Season 3 was absolutely amazing and the last episode of the last season was made in a way it gets stuck in your head for good. Specially the ending was sad and funny at the same time. The character development in the show however was next to none since the characters picked up where they left off.

    • Curiosidades
The first season is set in 2399, 20 years after the events of Star Trek: Némesis (2002) (which was set in the year 2379). Using the Stardate format established in Star Trek: La nueva generación (1987), this would place the start of the series just after Stardate 76000.

The opening credits feature a piece of the sky cracking off and floating through various locations from Picard's life before finally used to reform Picard's profile.

The elements in the title sequence vary depending on the season and its events:
      • The first season features a Borg cube and the planet Romulus.
      • The second season features a Borg ship, a wormhole and hourglass, and the Borg Queen's silhouette.
      • The third season does not have an opening titles sequence.
