Sachiiro no One Room

Let's start with the negatives. The villains were one dimensional, overplayed and comically wicked. If they had real motivations instead of just plain mental instability, they would have been more interesting. But fine, whatever. They worked well as a plot device: to create obstacles and create symoathy for the female lead.

BUT. I really enjoyed this. After reading the premise, I thought it would be toxic and trashy yet nevertheless entertaining so I watched it with very low expectations. I did not except it to be this amazing. The nuance and emotional weight it carries just blew me away. The main leads' acting was pretty good too.

A dark drama with a heavy concept. So, who was the real criminal here? The stalker who "abdacted" the girl or the parents, the teacher, her classmates? This drama makes you think a lot about right and wrong and how grown ups can destroy the personality of a little kid. Other than that, the performances were really good, especially from the two leads. However, the teacher character was overplayed and he ruined the atmosphere of this drama for me. Finally, the ending was kind of confusing and tragic at the same time.
