It's better than some of the critics would have you believe. I've seen critiques of the film saying that it's basically counterproductive because the protesters the film condemns are actually exercising their freedom of speech as well. Ummmm, the CNN's and major networks would have you believe those were protesters but they were viscous anti-conservative rioting mobs. They tried to attack the speakers and physically force them to withdraw their speaking engagements. The weren't close to peaceful protesters, they were something you'd see in a 3rd world riot. Setting structures on fire, throwing bottles and rocks, it's crazy.
Estimates range anywhere from 5 to 1 up to 12 to 1 liberal professors outnumber conservatives. These institutions have gone off the deep end and two sided discussions are considered an attack and offensive towards liberals yet conservative ideas are ganged up on. My girlfriends kids just started college and the stories they've got are terrifying.
We need more movies like this.
Note: One of the one star reviews of this, by "petercoolidge" suggests speech on campus is not a First Amendment issue since its one sided repression is not "government" oppression. I suggest peter retake civics 101. In fact most of the schools corolla has noted are GOVERNMENT institution, eg UC Berkely is. And any school that takes government funds (and they virtually all do) is in fact beholden to the Bill of Rights.
Moreover Corolla mainly addressing the gernal PC police culture of whining, crying, triggered culture that is now taught at many schools. If peter had watched the film, and it is clear he has not, he would know it isn't even mainly about the First Amendment. Rather it is about a cultural shift toward whining, agreement instead of achievement.
Fact is there is a powerful irony. This film literally could run as an advert on CNN or MSNBC and their idiot viewers thinking it was just a commercial for a school and not knowing it was a satire!

This should be taught in every elementary school in America. Pretty much an complete brake down on what's wrong with academia. We see it everyday now and it will just end in disaster if we don't do something about it.

I read a lot of the "pro-conservative" aspects surrounding this movie, but that just scratches the surface. No Safe Spaces takes a deep dive into the potential harm America faces in regards to silencing our god given rights to free speech. It takes us throughout history and how important it is for our society to maintain our first amendment for EVERYONE, despite what side of the political aisle you sit.
The film shows conservative speakers being threatened, abused and shouted down in order to silence them and universities indoctrinating our youth into not thinking for themselves. At the same time, it makes you think how lucky we are to be able to say what we want and what we feel without the fear of persecution and how we, as a society, need to protect this right.
The film is done very well, and brings the audience an eye-opening experience about our rights as human beings that should never be infringed on. The theatre was packed and when the lights turned on most people had tears in their eyes, as did I and my date. The movie teaches us that it is important to listen, learn and understand each persons point of view and that we should never back down from speaking our minds. Only through dialogue, communication and respect for others will we ever be able to understand each individuals unique perspective, and No Safe Spaces emphasizes this perfectly.
Do yourself a favor and go see this, it's powerful!

Excellent film about what's really going on in this country and what our children are subjected to in schools and college campuses.
