DVR'd this hoping it'd be a bit steamy and fun. Nope. This clunker was more like an unintentional comedy. There is no camp or thrills and characters so flat and vanilla, they blend into the sterile, beige, upper-class neighborhood they live in. We begin with typical LMN fare finding Mom and Daughter losing dear old Dad unexpectedly and then jumping into the "two years later" montage of a guitar strumming and Mom and D giggling while moving into their new posh neighborhood (that's way too out of the price range of a nurse's salary, unless dear old Dad had a life-insurance policy that was bank). They haven't even gotten their suitcases out of the car yet and are immediately besieged with both cop wannabe Mike, the HOA/neighborhood watch guy (who's so cliche he can choke the life out of anyone who stands in his way of achieving some hot tub lust with Mom) and a snoopy blond neighbor. Mom falling for a fireman and her awkward daughter bagging the big man on campus (by osmosis) at her new school ensues. Then, about 2/3s of the way in, you get a ping pong match at a neighborhood party (which I thought would be in a park) in some sort of random, sanitized building (HOA clubhouse?) where men, take their shirts off and damn! If you cheat, be prepared to die! Finally, when you get to the climax/bad-guy confession scene, be prepared to be so completely confused and bewildered you may have to rewatch it, to understand why renegade-neighborhood-watch, Pyscho Mike, is well...psycho. However, I didn't do this, I just wanted it to be over and done with.
