Wasn't expecting much at all and was pleasantly surprised. It was nice to not be able to predict where the story was going. While its not Oscar winning acting and budget, there was enough grit and heart to hold my attention for all 6 episodes.

It does suffer a little from having quite a few characters who resemble each other a bit, so it can take a while to sort one group from the other.

Nothing you'd rave about, but solid storytelling.

Who the hell thinks this rubbish is anywhere near Love Hate??? Obviously the same people who watch Fair City and think it's good tv... Darklands is one of the worst things I've seen on TV, the acting from 90% of the cast is scandalous, the storyline/screenplay is so dull and obvious like a million things we've all seen before, nothing original about any of it but still manages to be worse then any previous similar type series. I mean seriously how can anyone watch this tripe and not be shocked by the overall lack of talent from most of the actors, it's simply brutal, my god I've even kept watching it up to 5th episode almost in disbelief as to how bad it continues to be. I am actually amazed at how two previous reviews here have praised it... all I can say to that is wow!!!

It mist be hard to please some people. I watched all of season 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The acting was fine and I thought pretty realistic mostly so im not sure why people are saying otherwise. I watch A LOT of television so feel qualified to recommend this series to any readers. Enjoy.

It's not supposed to be love hate. It's a low budget series that's using new talent for its first season. Go back to the start of many shows you like and you'll notice the quality is horrendous compared to where it is now.

It's no Love Hate. It's a bit mehhhhhh! 2 episodes in. Hope it improves big style.

The Real Dublin excellent viewing .. Better than Love/Hate 10/10

Slightly slow to get going, but if you stick with it by the end of episode 3 you will just need to keep the play buitton and watch the next episode.

I am not being ciritcal of the slow start, you need that to understand the ins and outs of the two gangs...

I found myself crying with Damo, and crying with his girlfriend, WOW just WOW

Being from Doncaster, a town which lost a promising young boxer to mob gang culture one who was about to turn pro or have pro opportunities, watch this series and the young lad[ERM READ THIS BACK I THINK ITS A SPOILER, SO REMOVED THE TEXT.... but then he finds ...... cant spoil it........ this seems very close to what happened in Donny last year....

Whatever though.... Young talents lost. Please bring a series 2 please let us watch Damo develop and move away from this....

I enjoyed it Thought it was a good series The young lad playing Damian for his first acting role did a great job.

Decent storyline with a few twists and would watch a second series.
