    Lloyd at his best

If you know Troma, you are fully aware of what to expect however this movie provides an over deliverance on all expectations.

Lloyd has said that this is very likely his last movie and Shakespeare Shitstorm very much encapsulates the energy of a director giving his loyal fanbase a grand finale that they will not soon forget.

The movie takes aim at cancel culture, social justice warriors and the daily outrage we see in modern times. Whilst these are themes we generally see ridiculed by right wing media, Lloyd approaches it in a manner that highlights how the public focusing on the trivial issues rather than the wider problems actually divides people further.

Kate McGarrigle was a real standout with a strong performance demonstrating perfect comedic timing. Additionally, Monique Dupree was fantastic and I can see them both landing roles in major productions and continuing the tradition of Troma alumni graduating into stardom.

Insane amount of blood, effects that delight and disgust and incredible amounts of whale fecal matter with surprising levels of corn. Sex, drugs and rock and roll.

    Check it out.

    Disturbingly Funny

Disturbingly funny and over the top gross out bits and boobs everywhere

First film by Uncle Lloyd to be filmed on digital I think

Hope it gets a physical release soon.

Disgusting movie that pokes fun at Liberals, Millennials and Gen Z

I'm one to give a movie a decent chance and watch through, but this one was so awful I couldn't even get partway through it. From the get-go it's very obviously poking fun at Millennials, Gen-Z and anyone with a more progressive mindset. That'd be fine if it was at least halfway thoughtful in it's approach but like most right-wing type humor it is heavy-handed and dumb with a lot of shock value mixed in. As an example they distill safe spaces into a drug, and those execs eagerly jizz over disabled people in what's clearly meant to be a 'over the top 'Liberal' party'.

If you're a big fan of Trump or like right-wing humor Babylon Bee style, this is probably your movie. If you're literally anyone else it's a revolting watch that's a waste of time.

Now this is what I call a Troma movie

After the disappointing taste which the Troma film Eating Miss Campbell left in my mouth I got to watch this in Brazil and thankfully leave it to Lloyd Kaufman to bring an actual genuinely funny, crazy drug like trip of a film to the world. Going into this I thought it would be a lot like Tromeo & Juliet in its structure and style but I was pleasantly surprised as it is more like the first Return To Nuke Em High film in its style and humour. I would recommend this highly to any Troma fan and to any horror fan in general. I would put this at the top of any list of best film from the wacky Troma studios. If you can get the chance to go and watch it you should.

Frazer Brown, known for his role as William Shakespeare in Troma Entertainment's Shakespeare's Shitstorm, has become the center of a major controversy within the comics community. In 2020, Brown launched a Kickstarter campaign for a charity comic anthology titled Tales from the Quarantine, featuring contributions from over 400 creators. The campaign raised £37,185 (approximately $47,000 USD at the time), nearly three times its original goal of £13,000 (around $16,500 USD). Despite the strong financial backing, the project quickly fell into disarray. Years later, the physical books-both hardcover and paperback-remain undelivered. While a few backers received peripheral items like trading cards and posters, the core anthology never arrived. A digital version was eventually released but was widely criticized for being incomplete and riddled with errors.

Compounding the fulfillment problems were serious concerns about Brown's treatment of both backers and contributors. Many individuals who inquired about the status of the project were met with hostility-some were blocked on social media, while others received threats of legal or even police action simply for asking questions or raising public concerns. Brown's communication throughout the process has been inconsistent, with frequent excuses involving lost emails and vague promises of imminent shipments that never materialized.

The charitable aspect of the project has also come under intense scrutiny. Brown had pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to NHS Charities and The Hero Initiative, yet no public evidence of any donations has ever surfaced. The absence of transparency around the nearly $47,000 raised has significantly eroded trust among backers and creators.

In response to the growing backlash, Kickstarter's legal department reportedly conducted an investigation, ultimately placing restrictions on Brown's account. The Tales from the Quarantine debacle has since become a cautionary tale in the crowdfunding world, highlighting the need for transparency, accountability, and respect for supporters in creator-led campaigns.
