About the movie

Cinematography is not upto the mark. Pradipta Battyacharya did this also in Bakita Byaktigoto. The story is very beautiful. No question about Ritwick's Acting. But Jyotika Jyoti is no way near to Rajlokkhi, She doesn't posses the voice even gesture for Rajlokkhi. The word choice in the dialogue is so mundane. Some accents are from Bangladesh. Some from Indians. Didn't find any similarity with the novel except the platform.

Indranath & Shrikanta's part was not so touching at first half to express the depth in their relationship at last.

Simply Awkward. Donnow why Rittick choose this ?? Is this some kind of friend's help to make another friend some business in the industry.

Apart from all, Timir Biswas touched the soul of mine with the song " Amar Bhul hoye geche priyo " Hats off , Timir Da.

A pure garbage

The director has no idea of what he actually wants to do. I UNDERSTAND the pain of such amateur director.

I feel really ashamed of being a native from Bengal. I feel ashamed for Saratchandra Dear Prodipta, please die and don't make movies You're just useless like your skills.

Legacy of Bengali Cinema still Alive

I don't know why his cinema is underrated. Such a gem in Bengali Cinema. Acting and story don't need languages to explain. You'll understand only if you watch. Thanks for creating such cinemas in this commercial age.

Outstanding concpet, brilliant music, awesome cinematography!

The cinema offers a layered view points. Past and present mixes up with different possibilities. The film runs at a slow pace and gives the audience sometime to appreciate the taste it offers. A number of typical folk-like songs are used which adds a nice charm to the corresponding scenes; these are also accompanied by newly made modern and semi-modern songs, which are treat to ears. The camera captures the interplay of light and shadow, rural and urban visuals beautifully.

After 'bakita byaktigoto', this was again one of the unique signatures of Pradipta. Looking forward to many more gems from him.

Lived upto the expectation

Pradipta bhattacharya's works always elude me. Be it his short films or "bakita byaktigoto" the man always steal your attention even after you are done seeing the movie. This is not an exception. The portrayal of rural Bengal and the sharp contrast it has with the urban one goes with the theme of the movie. Srikanto is a famous character of Bengali literature. So making a movie on that character was always risky. But the director couldn't have done a better job.
