Tangles and Knots

It's only 17 minutes so watch it yourself if you get the chance. The mother has a much easier time engaging with the boys than her daughter, and flirts with them willfully. Later, after the daughter is in bed, things get rather out of hand. Well, so we're lead to believe, but it's up to you to draw your own conclusion. I think that's something a good short can do.

The fine perspective about mother - daughter rivalry. The young one , under care, controll and advice of older, pretty naif and living, in full manner, her age.

The older, under pressure of age, looking for lost youth, flirting, accepting game and the fascination of boys of her daughter age about sex with older lady.

But the party atmosphere, admirable last scenes are the good points of this short film defining melancholia, the fall of signs of olderness, the wish to save apparences and hide differences , the acceptance of a compromis fixing nothing.

In short, profound inspired story about passing time.

Leeanne Walsman's performance is totally-remarkable... realization warped-relationship-boundaries with her daughter are destructive-abnormal, her final scene performance is spellbinding... if for any reason she would not be able to do the feature, it should not be made... agree or not this short should have been produced, it is a thought-provoking remarkable-work

... now that's a production would really look-forward-seeing... for here in a fraction of time there's just way too much missing as to how-why this-'mother' would all get sooo much out-of-hand, for her daughter and herself.
