You can't help but think that with a cast of A-List celebrities or a well-known director such as Steven Speilberg this film would be nominated for an Academy Award. The storyline was a solid original plot where three young ladies from a planet of all women find themselves trapped on Earth seeking a unique form of energy to fuel their space vessel. It isn't a solid Sci-Fi for many fans, but it is a rather remarkable love story in the vein opf 2017's 'The Space Between Us'. Ellie Church, Allison Maier, and Alyss Winkler carried this film. Respectfully I haven't seen this kind of talent from strong female role models since the 2002 film 'Chicago'. Ellie Church & Brian Papandrea (as Charlie) brought an on screen chemistry for the love story that I haven't seen since the 1950 French film 'Un Chant d'Amour'. Powerful heart touching drama. I genuinely felt the love between this duo.
I only had two criticisms regarding 'Space Babes From Outer Space'; Although this movie was marginally female driven, my first criticism has to be the lack of racial diversity. I could easily imagine someone like Yaya Alafia or Lupita Nyong'o being part of this undertaking. My last criticism would be the character of 'Carrieola' was under-used in several scenes that required nudity. I understand for some that on screen nude scenes can often be a career ender, but in situations where the female body is part of an expressive nature ('The Wrestler" 2008) rather than a gratuity of flesh ('Nymphomaniac' 2013) it is simply necessary. The ending itself (which I won't spoil for anyone) is quite a twist. It was reminiscent of M. Night Shyamalan staple of movie twists that I recall from 'The Sixth Sence' - I literally did not see it coming.
Recognizably this film is not for everyone. It came to life as a Kickstarter campaign and is an easy target for trolls who like to hate on matriarchal ideologies. While it is humorous at times, it is not as funny as ( say) the science fiction classic 'Space Balls'. It is a relatively fresh take on modern society that is suppressive of an opposition through censorship - for example those who might refuse Netflix movies to be nominated for prestigious film awards. I found this film to be entertaining, although for full disclosure I watched it for free, and I suspect the majority of viewers would appreciate the same. More bluntly; do not pay for this movie if you can see it in gratis.

I don't know what the 10 star reviewers are smoking, but I want some. If you want an honest indicator of how good this film is: look at the trailer. The "Space Babes" spaceship is made of cardboard and the control console is literally covered in tin foil. Look, this film came out in 2017, not 1966. There is no reason whatsoever to make a film as poor as this. To even call it a "film" besmirches the more respectable, talented artists who work tirelessly to create cinematic masterpieces. Space Babes is so bad that it doesn't even deserve a Razzie. Last year's Razzie winner compared to this would be an Oscar contender. Truly one of the worst things I have ever seen in my life. It has no redeeming value whatsoever.
I implore you: don't waste your time. Watching paint dry is far more entertaining than this garbage.

This movie is a total waste of time - even during self-isolation.
It's neither funny nor amusing. It's not even corny. It's just plain dreadful. I thought it was going to have the same vibe as great 80s teen movies. It had a crazy plot, nerds, beautiful women, and gratuitous nudity. But that's where the similarities end. The rest was utter chaos and, and.... well, nothing.
This movie is so bad, I didn't even finish it. I lasted 38 mins. So forgive me if the movie gets better after that. But up to that point it was utter rubbish.
This movie isn't a B-Grade, not even a C, D, or E-Grade. It looks more like the work of amateur horny teenagers.
Give this movie a ultra wide berth.

It's like Troma and classic 80s late night cult schlock got together and had a baby in 2017! So many great puns! An amazing 80s-esque soundtrack! This is by far one of the best films I've seen this year! Space Babes From Outer Space has cult classic written all over it!
This film has that "late night comedy" feel, without the overabundance of nudity in an attempt to lock in viewers (not to say that there isn't plenty of nudity, but those scenes aren't the selling point of the film). It's definitely the sort of film that you can watch again and again with some chicken nuggets, a few cold beers, and your best friends.

Right, well from this 2017 sci-fi comedy movie's cover alone, then I wasn't really expecting a whole lot. But still, as I hadn't already seen director Brian K. Williams' "Space Babes from Outer Space" movie, then of course I had to give it a viewing.
Well, "Space Babes from Outer Space" is not exactly groundbreaking cinema, and it is as corny and cheesy as you would assume it to be given the movie's title and its cover. Initially, I was dreading this would be a lousy and sleazy movie bordering on being softcore pornography, but thankfully director Brian K. Williams didn't venture that far down that path. "Space Babes from Outer Space" has some topless nudity in it and that is about it, so thumbs up for that.
The storyline in "Space Babes from Outer Space" is pretty straight forward. I will say that the storyline was actually corny enough to be enjoyable for what it turned out to be. And the movie was actually not all that bad in comparison to so many other movies of the same ilk. Sure, this isn't Shakespearian storytelling, but you get what you would expect from a movie such as this.
This is a low budget movie, pure and simply. But the props, costumes, wardrobes, sets, etc. Were actually fair, and they added a good layer of charms to the movie. It worked very well in favor of the movie, as it brought a somewhat stylish sense of low budget charm to the production. So, thumbs up on that achievement.
Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with a single actress or actor that were on the cast list. But I will say that those involved in the movie put on good enough performances. I can't single out anyone for a particularly memorable performance, though, but in overall the actors and actresses put on good enough jobs.
It takes a somewhat special mindset to sit down and watch a movie like "Space Babes from Outer Space". You have to enjoy corny sci-fi movies that are aimed at a randy, young adult audience. And you also need to have a liking for movies that doesn't take itself or anything else serious. And most importantly, you need to have a love for low budget cinema.
All in all, "Space Babes from Outer Space" was watchable enough for what it turned out to be. However, it is not a movie that I will be watching a second time.
My rating of "Space Babes from Outer Space" lands on a five out of ten stars.
