BEWARE OF BOGUS REVIEWS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY REVIEW ONE FILM. WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE PRODUCTION. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THAT PRODUCTION. NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 200 Christmas MOVIES. I HAVE NO AGENDA. I AM FARE ABOUT THESE FILMS.
A woman (Meredith Hagner)is getting the 12 Days of Christmas gifts by a mystery man. These gifts are coming while she is at her visiting parents home while planning her sisters Christmas Wedding. Just before her arrival she was dumped by her boyfriend a man she thought was going to purpose to her.
As a hopeless romantic who can't ever seem to give a guy a real chance begins receiving each of the "12 Days of Christmas" as gifts anonymously at her door. As she tries to figure out who is sending the gifts, she begins to believe that the mystery suitor could finally live up to her expectations.
What was nice about this film was it is not mean spirited. The main cast are people you do like from the beginning. Yes you can see what's coming but so what. Meredith Hagner is such a joy to watch that she elevates this very simple story.

As a couple, we love watching Hallmark Christmas movies and never miss one. We tried watching this together tonight, but my husband couldn't take Meredith Hagner's voice and perkiness. Now I'm the one with a thing about annoying voices, so it surprised me when he said it bothered him. So, we didn't watch it together, which is a first for us. I'm watching the rest of it by myself and don't find it to be too awfully bad. The plot is good, but Meredith Hagner is annoying, I'm sorry to say. I hope she won't be a staple actor among the Hallmark troupe of players because next year I'd really like to be able to see all the movies offered for Christmas. The rest of the actors were very good, particularly Gregory Harrison whom I've always liked since his soap opera days.

I actually found the sister really annoying. Great to see Gregory Harrison, and Bobby Campo as Liam seemed really cute. He was well cast as the sweet best friend. The girls were just okay.

Before I get into the review, here are my ratings for the movie.
The story gets 1.5 out of 2: The Direction a 1.25: The Pacing receives a 1.25: While the Acting gets 1.25: And my Enjoyment level earns a 1.75 out of 2: This brings the total for My Christmas Love to 7 out of 10.
This is the second time I've watched this film. And, I enjoyed it as much this year as I did three years ago.
There's a lot to enjoy about this story. The writers, Garrett Frawley and Brian Turner, present the viewer the superlative Christmas Chick in Cynthia. She is the forever hopeless and eternally hopeful romantic. After being dumped at the start of the story, she resorts to inviting her employee to her sister's Christmas wedding. However, while they await the big day, a present arrives at her father's house from a secret suiter. The gift of a Partridge in a Pear Tree sets her on the mystery chasers road to find her anonymous admirer. Of which, she believes there are many.
While all this is going on, Cynthia additionally has to help her sister, Janet, with her wedding doubts and fears. Support her father this festive season, after the passing of their mother the previous year. And, try to complete her latest children's' book.
I have to say, Frawley and Turner do a magnificent job with The Twelve Days of Christmas Gifts. Worries were surfacing as I remembered six geese a-laying, seven swans a-swimming, and eight ladies a-milking. I mean, Cynthia had hitherto received a live and cooing partridge in a pear tree, two calling birds, and the three French hens. You can't help but be concerned with her storage facilities for the forthcoming beasts. But, don't worry, Frawley and Turner come up with a decent and realistic outcome. Cynthia's Chrimbo doesn't turn out like Frank Kelly's Christmas Countdown - Check it out on YouTube or Spotify.
It could have been so easy to lose control of a story that possesses so many elements, but the writers handle it expertly.
As does the director, Jeff Fisher. Though the story is told in your standard point and shoot fashion, it works well for the tale. Fisher allows the scenes and the cast to create the atmosphere and feel of the piece. He scarcely adds extra warm lighting to set a heartwarming and cosy mood. He doesn't need to. The cast works so decorously together that they have the feel of a real family. It is acclaim to the actors and actresses skills and talents, and the director's choice to use this method. Not including any lighting effects delivers a more lifelike tone to the film.
Since so much is packaged into the hour and a half, Fisher had to sustain a swift pace. On the whole, this works well to retain the attention of the audience. However, there are a couple of scenes where we required a smidgen more. Chiefly, this is to do with Cynthia and her search for her gift-giver. For example, she concludes that it's her ex who is sending her the gifts. That's fine, but it would have been delightful to note how she got to her conclusion. The first we see of him is when she calls on him unexpectedly. More here, would only have added to the story.
As stated above the cast are excellent in their roles. Everybody contributes their best, and there are no small parts in this movie. I do appreciate a film where everybody is as great as everyone else. It's another element that helps make an improbable story believable.
I loved Meredith Hagner as Cynthia. She's gorgeous and charming and was the ideal choice for this role. She handles the romance with the same panache as she does the comedic scenes and ditsy-blonde scenes.
Megan Park, who portrays Cynthia's sister, Janet, is just as perfectly cast. She adds a bittersweet depth to the story. Janet is the strong sister who stayed behind to make sure Dad was okay after Mother passed. But, she's concealing the fact that Mum's death affected her strongly too. All this is subtly evident in Janet's mannerisms and persona.
My Christmas Love is one Christmas movie I'd recommend for everybody to watch, at least once. It's an enjoyable and thought-provoking story of love in many forms, and the effect it can have on our lives. I've seen this flick twice now, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around as I did the first time: and I'll be delighted to watch it again. The film is an enjoyable way to waste an hour and a half.
Now, jump on the back of one of the Leaping Lords and leap on over to my Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas Belles list to see where the Love landed in my ratings.

Probably one of my favourite christmas cliche rom coms. My christamas love was fun and it included nice christmas touches. The romance was cute and the couple had chemistry, although the story was predictable.

I try to watch all of the Hallmark movies. There are very few I haven't seen. I watch them all in hopes of stumbling upon another Moonlight Masquerade, Holiday in Handcuffs, Straight from the Heart, My Fake Fiancée, A Family Thanksgiving, or Gift Wrapped Christmas. It's almost a game with me. These are some of my favorites off the top of my head, and let me tell you, Hallmances that I would re-watch are few and far between. It's no coincidence that my favorites usually feature talented actresses, usually with a flair for comedy, in the title roles: Teri Polo, Daphne Zuniga, and Melissa Joan Hart. Now, I will also add Meredith Hagner to the list. Her sprightly presence is not the only reason this movie succeeds, but it is an important factor. To that I will add a very appealing male lead, good writing (funny situations, dialogue, a few heart-tugs, and a twist even I did not see coming) and an older fan-favorite as an anchor: in this case, Gregory Harrison. Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm of actors, writing, and directing that makes my mission to at least give all of the Hallmark movies a chance, worthwhile. Why doesn't it happen more often?
**Updated 11/16/2017**sad to say, it looks like Meredith Hagner has moved on from Hallmark. I hope I am wrong, but I guess she was just too good to become a regular.

I had high expectations for this movie after reading the reviews. When the highlight of the movie was a badly filmed pillow fight- I realized I had made a terrible mistake. The lead actress and actor were very likable and probably did a good job. There was no suspense. No real consistent emotion. No real humor. No real take away from this movie. It was not well done. No one in my family fell asleep but it is one that we wouldn't watch again. It was a waste of time and talent. The part of the sister was played by an actress who looked a lot like Amber Marshall of Heartland. Her husband's part was terrible. Gregory Harrison was nice to see but it was a minor role.

This movie is quite overly perky. The plot seems somewhat totally predictable which includes the sudden awaking at the end. There are some slow parts in the movie. Two sisters, who seem to be total opposites, have learned different lessons from their loving parents. Each sister makes compromises to find happy loves.

I gotta be honest, the minute I saw the main character, i asked myself "what have I gotten myself into?" I thought it was going to be one long hour and a half, but surprise, It wasn't at all. I think that what made this movie so special was the chemistry between the characters, they looked like they were having fun for real, and every time Liam looked at Cynthia I melt. I actually enjoyed both characters. This is definitely going to my favorite hallmark movies list.
The plot twist in the end, oh god, I wasn't expecting it at all, have tissues close to you. It's a beautiful movie, I hope everybody enjoys it as a did.

Can this woman be any more annoying??? And the love interest? Has NO INTEREST in her until the end.
I liked the 12 gifts of Christmas theme and gifts. That was very creative and fun.
But the rest of it was just ACKKKKKKK

First of all, it's time I peal back some of the many layers of Hallmark for this go round. The reason is that I am frustrated with the repeated premise that people who are attracted to other people are actually this dumb in real life. When was the last time you actually saw a man and a woman who "love" each other this much (speaking of our leads) and don't realize it? Well, he does, but... Let's break this down. In reality when a guy ends up in his position, and with this sort of relationship, he NEVER has a chance to score the gal. It never happens. I understand that Hallmark would like to imagine that it could, in a perfect world, but the stone cold truth is the nice guys finish last. I don't fully understand why, I simply know that it is. In this story all the potential Mr. Rights are "nice" guys, and the real Mr. Right is kind of the brattiest of the bunch. This is because he knows that he is right for her, he has a quiet confidence in it, and he knows when she keeps fumbling around looking for the right guy that she is missing what's in front of her. But how does she not see it? And that's what makes this a fairy tale, because it's not a real picture of the dating scene. I suppose I'm preaching to the choir? So why do we keep watching these maudlin stories? I think it's for the same reason people love to watch fantasy. Hallmark is nothing but a G rated smut novel. I've no intention of guilting anyone here. It's really just that, a G rated movie, nothing wrong, nothing scandalous. I myself have the occasional need to return to my senses and this is one of those moments.
The other couple, her sister and the nerdy odd guy were also a very unrealistic couple. Funny how in this same movie they showcase a couple that are the exact opposite of our lead couple. The sister/fiancé says she doesn't want all this romantic, spontaneous stuff it's just too much, it does not appeal to her blah blah blah. She just wants to marry her best friend, he's a good guy. Now who is lying to herself? Another person in denial. Is this based on reality? Partly, but where it counts absolutely not. No way a woman is marrying he friend because she chooses to settle for someone and doesn't want any fun, or adventure...especially not a gorgeous woman like her. Doesn't happen unless a person is badly damaged, which I don't believe that she is.
Otherwise I really enjoyed the movie because it's entertaining and there is a lot of chemistry between all the characters. Doesn't mean it's realistic by any means. But it's something I'll watch every 2-3 years.

I had read so many reviews on this being one of the best Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movies this season (and I'm sorry to say, based on past years, in my opinion, and I do love Hallmark Christmas movies, there seem to be a lot of uninteresting ones). However, I could only get through the first 20 minutes (up to the first commercial break) because the main character was driving me crazy. "Christery?" I found her to be immature and way, way too perky and sadly, I hate to say I really didn't care who was sending her the gifts. I was sorry I couldn't get further because I do love Gregory Harrison and I'm sure he was excellent in it. Not much of a "review" but I was glad to see I wasn't the only one who felt this way about the lead actress.

So relatable it made me cry near the end. Hit right in the feels. That key line mentioned at the end is the one that resounded with me as well. Lots of lessons to be learned about this film. Take nothing for granted, you won't know until you try, taking chances, perfection isn't everything, love does not have to be ideal, and friendship and compatibility means so much more than lasting or extravagant first impressions. A fun holiday romance film. Well exceeded my initial expectations and was a very nice surprise. Don't wanna spoil anything because it was a fun experience to watch.

I loved this film. Meredith and Bobby and the whole crew are the best actors I've seen to date on a hallmark movie. They are very believable in their roles. Meredith is so bubbly and appealing. They are all so good together and it is such a fun movie... my husband loves these hallmark movies and this is the only one I don't mind watching repeatedly. Lots of quirky humor in this. Funny remarks and one liners Amost a musical The gifts are entertaining and it's fun to pick them out in different places in the movie. Surprise ending, but also a few surprise endings. The story line was really pretty clever and something a little different than the average story. And Bobby is a great dancer!

Caught this on the July Christmas "sell ornaments" week and now I can be sure to avoid it when it endlessly loops from fall through winter on the Hallmark channel.
Anyone who has seen a Hallmark movie knew in the first couple of scenes who the big mystery man would be. There was zero chemistry between Mr. Twelve Gifts (no spoilers) and the flighty, perky heroine with the screechy voice. She needs to come down at least two decibels because she is causing dogs to howl. And why is it that all of the love interests looked alike? Or, for that matter, the women? There must be some "talent" pool that Hallmark dips into - all of the girls have to be blond and the men dark haired. Boring.
Major waste of time.

this is my first ever IMDb review.
i am not going to break this film down. i am not going to critique the film. nor the acting, nor the directing. i am just going to say that this is absolutely the best hallmark holiday movie yet. not even close...and i watch them all...repeatedly during the holiday season. (a guilty pleasure) i couldn't tell you how many times i laughed out loud, how touching the ending was ...all i can tell you is if you have the chance and the time, you will not be disappointed.
well done to the cast and crew.

I really like Christmas time and christmas love theme movies. The receipt is always the same with slight differences between movies, the main goal is a little bit of fun and love in the air. The problem with this movie is that the film is totally blad.
One hour and a half of watching main female caracter looking for a "true love" and the autor of gifts.. She was so stupid and fullish to think just for her's nose. The whole film she present herself as egoistic, thin minded blond. One hour and a half we discover how stupidly she treat the guy who went specially for Chrismstas with her...all movie she ignore his presence and few minutes before the end EUREKA -true love ? Give me a break! The director had no idea how push the action and the few last minutes he decided to rig caracters up....but for all movie absolutly no action with caracters. The film isn't fluid, the main caracters are flat, naive and irritating. It's 100% of love seen as romantic consumering blabla Even if 90% of christmas movies are little too sweet and idyllic s - this one irritate more than relax. For half of the film I had irrepresive need to slap in the face the main female caracter.

Cynthia is headed to her sister's, Janet, Christmas wedding without her scheduled plus one. Jason decided not to go because meeting her family during a wedding at Christmas was too much pressure. Cynthia leaves the relationship
but not the cupcakes or her gift. Cynthia decides to ask her best friend and illustrator Liam to be her plus one. Luckily, he doesn't have plans and decides to go. While in town she meets 2 old boyfriends, Scott and Grant. Then, she starts getting gifts that are inline with the 12 days of Christmas song. And the sender is a mystery. She is determined to figure out who is her mystery Christmas Love.
Jason – most recent her ex Liam – her friend and business partner Scott – her first boyfriend Grant – her senior year boyfriend With so many possibilities around her, it is hard for Cynthia to see what is in front of her.
The best Hallmark holiday movie by far. When Cynthia leaves a room angry, hold on to your stuff. This movie will make you laugh out loud. Liam and Tom (Cynthia's father) have the best one-liners. It is an absolute joy to watch. You need to watch this mystery twice to see what you missed. This movie proves that funny and quirky is better than sappy. This is how a holiday movie should be done. It is obvious, Hallmark left the best for close to last. And be prepared to cry when "The Christmas Love" is revealed.
I give it 5 out of 5 stars
You are so lucky I do not have plans – Liam
Janet's awesome but scary sometimes – Liam
He gives me that speech every day – Roger
But if you do any designs on my daughter, just keep this in mind, I'm a hunter and a good one – Tom
No you need to draw faster, I'm on a roll – Cynthia
You haven't changed a bit – Grant
I'm not going to wear mom dress. I'm just not ready – Janet
I can't complain. And if I did, who would listen – Esther
If you don't go, it'll hurt my feelings – Scott
Don't let doubt and fear get in the way – Grant
