It's a good storyline, allegedly based on a true story. But a weak script, bad acting and weak directing drag this way down.
It is watchable but due to the stiffness of the acting it is painful at times. They are not helped at all by the simplistic, spoon-feeding script that tells you verbatim everything they want to convey to you rather than letting you figure it out from the story.
Casting very attractive women as street level hookers may have made it pleasant on the eyes but it dealt a serious blow to the realism of the story. Which, basically, is indicative of the whole presentation and sums up the movie.

It was definitely a weird movie! The fantasy aspect didn't quite fit with the off the charts obscenities and sexual situations. The acting wasn't bad. It's not gonna win an Oscar, but it was interesting! It didn't feel like it was a waste of time like some movies I try watching to bore me to sleep. It actually kept me engaged which originally wasn't my intention when I streamed it because it turned out not to be a cure for my insomnia. It dragged a little bit but all in all, it kept going. That it was inspired by a true story was cool. How much was accurate is anyone's guess. I gave it 7 stars simply because it surprised me and didn't suck!
Lost Fare very likely to be the worst film of 2018. This is a shame because it is made by an accomplished filmmaker involved in many great films over decades & the movie does has some attractive and memorable cinematography.
However, the script is appalling:
The actors didn't stand a chance.
However, the script is appalling:
- unbelievable dialogue, including many lines that have never been uttered by a real person
- spelt-out conclusions. The audience for this type of movie is going to want to work out the meaning of this film themselves (and will have the ability to do so)
- verbalized backstory
- plot that is fundamentally too complex
- unintentionally funny.

So i seen this with a 4.8 rating and almost past it up..
But indie films can be passed up because we all look for big names big plots big explosions and so on..
But i will say glad i watched ,full of cliches and average to a few great moments of acting the story is powerful and the script was decently written..its a nice break from the everyday blockbusters they shove down our throat ...
Dont pass this one up..
You will enjoy
Watching this, you'll either hate it, or love it. It is low budget, and often outright awful in its language, and yet, the acting and immersing moments seem to shine through. Sure, it could have been made better, better actors/actresses and more money spent on props etc, but the violence and scenes were for me just right. The two young girls were the stars, and the overall scenery was fulfilling as a pleasant backdrop. I wouldn't watch this twice, but i do feel, that to have seen it once was worth my time and i would recommend this to anyone over the age of 17 or 18. i loved the scene with the furry friend, kind of apt to have such a normal happening in a world all messed up
